I thought the phaeton had weak armor. My god the wasp has even worse armor and the gun has no range so you have to go in close range so you get shot to bits. Wheelman doesn’t help worth a damn. I’d rather use a banshee than a piece of paper. Cmon 343 what’s your deal with making vehicles with little to no armor?

Seriously its not supposed to be a very powerful vehicle.
You know they designed it to be that way right? It’s supposed to be easily taken down. It’s a level 3 req. What did you expect? 343 said it several times, you’re supposed to fly in, get a kill or two and get out. You can’t be comparing it to those high level reqs. It’s an entirely different thing. But I suppose this is a first for halo multiplayer, a very small, very light armored close-ranged air vehicle. So take that for what it’s worth.

Haven’t downloaded the update yet(ISP issues, who knew), anyways is it at least as maneuverable as the Ghost? In the right hands, a Ghost is deadly fun, weak yes, but still deadly.
The wasp actually has the same shield and armour strength as a banshee. Either can barely survive a scorpion cannon or wrath blast.
It’s meant to go toe to toe with Ghosts and other light vehicles. I could see it maybe taking down 3 or 4 spartans in a fight if the pilot is good (just like a Ghost).
I wouldn’t dream of using them in Warzone against human players. I use them in Firefight. They’re great for taking out Knights and Hunters and vehicles with slow projectile weapons you can dodge.
I don’t expect great armor I just expect it be be able to handle ground fire decently. It catches fire from one guy BR ing you. I’d rather use an ONI hog it has good armor and great weapons

It’s quick yeah it’s fun to use but can’t last
I watched a guy on twitch own a Warzone match using just a Wasp…
Gotta know its strengths and weakness well to use effectively. It’s a level 3 Req, so unless you are a boss with it, you shouldn’t expect to dominate with it.
unlike the phaeton, it seems like the wasp is more effective when you are close to the ground, cutting off sightlines to the propellers . It’s also good when you and your buddies call them in simultaneously.

I’ve only used the wasp in firefight, and I lasted 3 rounds in it, and took out a ton of enemies. the main guns overheat pretty quick, but easy to compensate for and it handles great. best way to use it in my opinion is to stay at a little bit of a distance on higher ranked targets, and constantly strafe around to reduce getting hit as much.
Its a low level REQ, its more like a mongoose than a banshee. It fits a niche, what did you expect a flying tank?
Relax, you need to actually learn how to use it. I ran into the same problem, but I was trying to fly all over the place looking for kills, when it is wiser to wait for your prey at key objectives.
