I dont know about any of you but the wasp is boss for level 3!! Definetly the way to go in firefight if you can get 3 or 4 of them up right away.
I think they’re awesome & need a couple more variants, but they’ve been rarer than platinum in my packs. Heck, You can probably get Ariana Grande’s phone number quicker than you can stockpile these gems.
I would agree. When someone on my Fire team manages to pull one or even the rarer two? It’s easy mode.
I just wish I could score a Cert for the damn things.
The one and only one I got I pulled and it helped me through two and a half rounds before finally succumbing to enemy fire.
I actually disagree. The wasp has way too little health despite shields. And the weapons do too little damage. I get that it’s only level 3 but it feels like im using that nerfed arctic hornet from halo 3. I’m sure it’s an okay vehicle in standard warzone (especially when getting an early lead) but FF it just seems so meh

Tiene muy baja salud y es poco ajil. hago mas daño en nivel 3 con la magnum y el br clasico
I haven’t used the Wasp much, but I’ve enjoyed my brief time with it. Ghost of the sky. I haven’t used it in Arena, though, so I dunno. Whenever I see them in Deadlock or the Headlong remake, I think “uh-oh,” but I wonder if they feel that same trepidation.

I get them all the time, they are amazing at warzone firefight

i wish i did!!
Definitely. Just wish there were variants of it.

and i definetly know halo wheelmen know how to roll warzone and btb the quickest most effecient way possible.
They are one shot railgun kills. Was in wz when the enemy brought out 4 to attack my armory. I took two of with a railgun and the fireteam dispatched the other two. Glorified warthogs.

ive never been one shot with a rail gun and neither is a hog…i gaurantee that if a team pulls out 3 or 4 wasps, it ll make ur life hell at the beginning of the game.
The problem with the Wasp that I see is that 343 designed it as an “hit and run” type of vehicle, as an air equivalent to the ghost or gun-goose.
Both the ghost and goose achieve this differently,
-The former by having a pair of plasma cannons that kill shields and have good consistent dps for its req level, as well as a good combination of armor and mobility to help avoid enemy fire and withstand the fire it does take(without seriously deteriorating) long enough to get the job done and leave.
-While latter has a lower dps, a more exposed driver, and somewhat more limited tactical mobility(can’t turn in place to aim guns or strafe), but does high burst damage(does high damage up front).
Intending for you to drive towards the enemy, quickly take them out with a volley of fire and continue along. if they survive then try to loop around and get them on the next pass. Your also allowed a passager to cover your blind spots while you’re bring your front about again for another pass.
-And both of them have the mobility necessary make use of the natural obstacles of the maps as cover. Weaving in and around rocks, trees and walls while being more vulnerable when out in open spaces and/or attacked from multiple directions
The Wasp however lacksr the consistent or burst damage of either one. Its armor is ok for its level and it has great strategic mobility(movement speed is about 20% faster then the phaeton) but unlike the ground, the air is relatively open with not alot to use as cover. Apex/Array, Noctus and maybe Darkstar if you stay low to the ground but your vulnerable on ARC/Dispatch, Strombreak/Summit, and Urban. Banshee and phaeton also in the same boat but they have more armor, more firepower in both ways and have more tactical mobility(boosting/maneuvers) to make up for it.
If I had to make a change or two to the Wasp, it would be these:
-Give it a higher ROF or a negative spinnup(high initial rate of fire that decreases as it overheats like the plasma repeater from Reach)
-faster moving missiles with somewhat larger AOE, still requires direct impact to kill
-Higher responsiveness and acceleration, increase strafing movement speed by 20%
-lower shield recharge delay
Wasp is really good to rank up your req level!
Cool, but I just can’t stand how weak it’s firepower is.

I like how you summed up the pro & cons. I concur with all those points.

I do agree with you.
Wasps are not fantastic in Firefight. I spawned two of them in a match and they got destroyed within 10 seconds. Pretty lame.
The wasp is just so fun to use. Love supplying air cover for the team.
