Hey everyone! I’m looking to grind the new commendations and am wondering about the best method for attacking this one… seems to me that playing regular Warzone is definitely my best bet to find Wasps to destroy, but which weapons / vehicles should I be using to achieve this? Wondering what my best bet would be. Seems perhaps Spartan Lasers?
My prefered weapon for this is the standard Rocket Launcher. It locks onto Wasps (they can’t maneuver enough to break the lock on) and 2 rockets will destroy one.

I’ve also found that the sentinel beam rips through wasps, but you need to target the weakpoints, which are the motors under the wings. It also will help towards the sentinel beam commendation. Two birds one stone!
An arclight can wreck a wasp as well as an endgame or any laser for that matter. Scorpions work well because the wasp is so slow which makes them easy targets.
The spnkr em is a good one since it has 4 shots per clip and yea if the wasp is out in the open 2 shots to take it down

The problem I have with using the arclight is that I tend to kill the driver, but not destroy the wasp when I use it.

That’s very true. I found that using the whiplash would sometimes result in that too. Being under the wasp is the preferred spot to be so you can just blast it without worrying about the pilot.

Yeah the normal railgun and the whiplash have an even higher chance to kill only the pilot because I believe they deal less damage than the arclight.
Mantises are great for destroying air vehicles, i think that’s what the mantis was originally designed for. A powerful weapon that can be used is the spartan laser, those are very useful for tackling those vehicle destroyer commendations!

Agreed. The Hydras wreak havoc on Wasps fairly efficiently too

Especially Typhon. If you emp it over a kill barrier, it would be very effective
Any precision weapon. Trust me wasps are really weak and you can probably destroy one with a dmr alone.

There are 2 sides of the spectrum when it comes to counter the vehicle. The first side is the weapons you have the the situation you are in at this time when it comes to taking down the Wasp. The second side is how skilled the pilot are as a skilled Wasp pilot has potential to maneuver the Wasp in a way so it’s always close by to some cover.
I don’t think a DMR is quite enough to take down the Wasp other than if the pilot is truly stupid or if there is a lot of firepower directed from different teammates at the Wasp.
