I’m wondering if others are finding it somewhat difficult to acquire WASPs? I’ve gone on a couple of significant silver and gold pack binges, and not having much luck getting the WASP in either silver or gold packs.
Not a huge deal in the scheme of things, but was wondering if it’s just my luck of the draw or if others have noticed the same thing?
It’s just as rare as anything else with the same rarity. Now that you mention it, I don’t see it as often as certain REQs, but that might be because I usually use them the first game after I get them.
Oh, and, uh, no need to capitalize Wasp. It’s the nickname of the AV-49 unit, not a designation.
It’s the luck of the draw AND they are rare. It used to be I would get them in silver packs, now they are in gold and silver but rarely, there are just too many vehicles, 72 possibilities. You get an average of 3 vehicles in gold packs, and 2 in silver packs.

I have gotten more legendary incineration cannons than i have gotten wasps, and I have the wasp cert as well.

Good feedback all around. I appreciate the insights. I guess I’ll keep knocking on those golds and silvers. It’s just been odd how many banshees I’m acquiring in comparison to wasps. @walrificus - note my corrected usage of “wasp” here.

It’s the natural side effect of having so many vehicle and weapon options. As you get into late game the odds of getting a specific REQ become slim-to-nill. Heck, I nearly ran out of tanks until I got their ultra rare certifications. The only counter at the moment is for 343 to add more wasp variants, or let us filter what REQs we prefer.
I’ve gotten them more often than I have Ultra Rare Random Vehicles. That said, they do seem to drop less frequently than some other vehicles from what I’ve noticed.
I get mythics more often than Wasps.
Are 343 planning on making new Wasp variants?
I wish trading REQS was possible, I’ve been hoping for Phaetons as it’s the last vehicle kill commendation I need and over the last couple of weeks I have opened dozes of golds and not got a single one.
Wasps I tend to get quite lucky with though but it is really frustrating to not get what you’re after opening so many packs. A vehicle REQ pack would be really handy right now.
