Was the Mantis worth it?

We’ve been wanting a mech sicne halo wars and when we saw the mantis for the first time or jaws hit the floor but has anybody noticed we dont have a falcon or a revernant anymore?

Yes it was,the more mechs the better.

For me no not really, i’d prefer the revenant and/or the falcon.

The Mantis is great! But I would like to have the pelican for multiplayer

Its fun to use but I would have rather them bring the Hornet back to multiplayer.

I do enjoy the Mantis however I instantly noticed the lack of a UNSC airborne vehicle I was hoping that there would be a new revamped falcon waiting for me but alas I only had a banshee . All in all I would have to say I would have much rather had a UNSC airborne vehicle (would love to see the pelican in big team for sure).

Yes, the mantis is actually a new vehicle. The Falcon and Revenant were boring bastardisations of existing vehicles.

I get that people want a UNSC airborne vehicle but I’d rather have none than the poor attempts we’ve had in the past.

I have, certainly I have.
Those moments when you were in a falcon and you had to dodge a rocket, or the warthog-revenant battles are OVER.
As a compensation, we’ve received that walking machine where you spend more time reloading weapons than firing.

Another success more 343!!

For me, mechs are unoriginal and childish like a kids toy.

never heard of those UNSC aircrafts, but mantis is fine as long as it stays in BTB, never in 4v4

You must be new to halo.

It’s better than any extra flying vehicle…

I prefer the scorpian for my UNSC ground, loved hornets especially on spire. That map was win!

odds are, i suck with the mantis. so lets get that out of the way. I feel I get a ton of assist medals with the mantis compared to kills. for how easy it is to take down it doesnt feel powerful enough. Maybe its the weapon reload time, im not sure. When I first saw it I had mental images of a walking tank. After playing, it feels more like a giant tin can.

The Hornet and Falcon could not function in the maps we’ve been given. The “large” maps are both too small and have such low air kill barriers that flying around in them would be incredibly restricted.
The Revenant could work if there was less clutter and fewer rocks (imagine driving a Wraith at the speed of a Ghost)

The Mantis is perfect for Halo 4 because:

[/li]- It has ridiculous firepower

  • It is nearly impossible to miss with any weapon
  • It’s extremely flashy
  • It’s armored with soggy green paper plates
  • It’s held together by thumbtacks and scotch tape

As much as I would love to see the other vehicles in a new Halo game, this is not a good one for them to be in, whereas the Mantis fits in just fine.

i think the falcon would be a little too op for this game, i would love to see the hornet back though. Maybe give it a nice front chain gun or something. I love the hornet because if you had a skilled pilot and smart gunners you could rule the skies, without it being to overpowering to promote whining on the forums.

You got the two mixed up.
