I just want a quick answer. (unless its more complicated to explain)
There is no legendary ending.

There wasn’t an alternative ending to begin with. What you see is what you got. Reach falls despite your best efforts and Noble Six still dies. Hackers and modders would have found it a long time ago if it did indeed exist.
However, people keep asking if there is a Legendary ending and it’s been in your faces the entire time. Before that, consider that Legendary endings take place AFTER the credits. With me so far? Good because it gets complicated.
The “Legendary ending” is of course Lone Wolf. It takes place after the credits except for the fact that’s available on every difficulty (including Legendary). It’s more than just a cutscene, which makes it even better.
Thank You I just wanted to have that cleared up.

If you bought Legendary Edition of Halo Reach, then you would know that there was supposed to be an Eagle that landed on Noble Six’s helmet when Halsey speaks during the Epilogue. I’ll give you the link, they start talking about it around 10:20 or so. That was supposed to be the small feature for those who beat the game on Legendary but was sadly, cut.
