Then I got to thinking…What if they add Armor Lock!!! I will most likely stop playing for a while if they added that nonsense. They shouldn’t defile this great game with that heinous game breaking garbage.

repulsor replaces armor lock’s role as a defensive peel ability so I doubt we’ll be seeing it. though all things considered armor lock would probably be fine as a pickup, halo 3 had substantially more powerful equipment.

i hope they don’t add it. Like you said, it was for sure more disliked than loved.
Additional to that, the repulsor seems to be a good replacement in terms of defensive equipment. (instead of armor lock)
I was thinking about armor lock theft other day, and how it should never come back.
I had an equipment idea that you could attach the armor lock name to but it functions completely differently. It would basically be a passive peice of equipment. If you die while you’re carrying it, instead you go into a “downed state” and your team mates would have a brief period to try and revive you. The benefit would be instead if coming back at spawn with loadout weapons, you have a chance to be revived and keep your weapons/ grenades/ map positioning.
No armor lock as it functioned in Reach though!
My Predictions:
- They’ll add almost all of the stuff from 5, whether it be cosmetics or most of the weapon variants. Maps are questionable but I do expect a few to return (Coliseum most obvious I would expect)
- expect throwbacks. Halo 3 equipment is likely to happen at some point, though exactly how they go about it and whether it would be in regular matchmaking is more questionable. I also anticipate map remakes.
- Warzone, Battle Royale, and some crazy experimentation is expected as well.
Armor abilities as they were in Reach/4 are extremely unlikely, though might be enticed to bring back a few (jetpack if anything please) as equipment instead.
I would be over the moon if they added the bubble shield, regenerator, and mine from Halo 3 wouldn’t mind seeing the gravity lift either.
But now that I think about it to there doesn’t seem to be enough neutral equipment in the game hope that changes.
