I felt it was a lot better when we didn’t know when a Halo game was coming out. That way when it was announced, we were shocked. I know I was shocked when I saw the Halo 4 reveal, even though we knew it would eventually come.
Now that Microsoft announced 3 total new Halo games, I feel like there won’t be any “shock” value when they’re announced.
I think Microsoft shouldn’t have announced Halo 5 and 6, and just let the fans speculate after Halo 4’s ending. Then with Halo 5’s ending, it directly eludes to Halo 6.
Anyway what’s done is done, but what do you think?
Personally, if I was in Microsoft’s shoes, I wouldn’t of announced a new halo until the new xbox was on the market.
There has been way too much halo this gen…If they would of waited until E3 2013 to announce hte new trilogy, with Halo 4 releasing in fall 2014, I think it would of had much more of an impact.
Let the thirst build. Let people actually miss Halo. The constant Halo games since 2009 imo was just a bad move on their part.
I honestly would have let the 360 just die this year while continuing it decent into the casual arena and prepare to “wow” the world, specifically gamers, with new hardware either at this E3 or next E3.
