was playing some firefight tonight just did a match where there was a guy who just spammed vehicles and splattered and stuff making it very difficult for anyone else to get kills/req levels. The match only just succeeded in the last seconds so I went ahead and xbox blocked the guy. I dont enjoy those sorts of players, he wasnt cheating but was making it unfun. So afterthat game ends i sit through the intermission then after a few minutes I’m kicked by one of those red and black screens telling me there was a network error. So i jump back into matchmaking and sit there for close to 5 minutes when it tells me theres not enough players. I rejoin again sit there for several more minutes before deciding its over for the night.
I had played something like 4 games prior with no issues then i block a guy and im done unable to join. Horrible bad luck or legit punishment? lol
Horrible bad luck. Sometimes the game may act up quite heavily. Have you tried re-logging in to your xbox account and restarting h5? That usually helped me out when ive had networking errors like that.
I get that sometime - ‘cannot connect to the server’ or network connection lost, etc. i launch another xbox app/game and then relaunch the Halo5 app. and then I’m able to connect. It’s a kind of soft restart of the app instead of restarting the console.
It’s nothing to worry about. I was in the middle of a forge map last night when I lost connection to the Halo 5: Guardians servers. Half my work gone within a second.
No, the person wouldn’t have known you blocked them.
When you cannot get a match like that just fully restart your game and then it should return to normal.
I get that after simply playing 1 or 2 games, no matter what. Sometimes, I’m even kicked out of games because of this. These stupid network issues are the only reason why I don’t play Halo 5 or MCC as often as I wish and could (I’d be at a much higher rank).
