Was Halo 4 advertised before it was announced?

If anyone remembers this video from about a year os so ago it stirred up a lot of controversy that Samsung was ripping off of Halo. Well since the commercial was out before Halo 4 was announced I’m starting to think that 343i partnered up with Samsung for some wierd way to advertise. If you look at the Spartan in the video thier are a lot of things similar to the Halo 4 Master Chief. This can’t be a coincidence that Samsung would come up with an idea so similar to what we have with the current version of MC. Possible new enemy at 7 seconds in…

dude did you even watch that video? coincidental… right… its pure coincidence that they have somebody in armor that looks EXACTLY the same as MK VI. even if it is coincidence it would be major copyright seeing as how i didn’t see any acknowledgement to Bungie, Microsoft, or 343.

That’s not what I meant. The design is clearly taken straight from Halo. I just think it has nothing to do with Halo 4. They’re just riding a wave of success created by Halo but it has no ties with the fact that another game was in development. The coincidence is the how alike the armour in the ad looks like the armour in the Halo 4 trailer.

Microsoft put up the Halo 4 web page before it was even announced at E3 2011.5 minutes after they put it up it was immedietly shut down until after the announcement.So that commercial was a commercial to get your attention they took that from a fan made “halo movie”.I have seen this video by Gonzaled1 before he shut down his account on youtube.

Personally I think that just made Samsung feel like they could do it without Microsoft claiming any sort of infringement.
