Was excited for turbo, until...

  1. I remembered that JIP is disabled. It’s really annoying to see a snowball effect of players quitting as soon as they lose a single tactical advantage. Now don’t get me wrong, I agree that joining an already lost game is not a good feeling. But when it comes to Turbo, you at least have every REQ at your disposal. At least try. That still doesn’t help though, when the enemy has the full map advantage. Disabling JIP is not the right fix to the REQ Station glitch.

  2. Teams. I know Warzone is meant to he a mix of casual and coordinated effort, but we’re talking about a gamemode where every REQ is at your disposal. What with 12-man fireteams coming back, wouldn’t it be a bit more fair if Turbo was a Lone Wolf playlist? I just feel that Turbo games become total blowouts when teams are involved. (I know someone’s gonna argue that Turbo is meant to be unfair.)

I don’t like to complain, but I did need to get these points off my chest. I don’t expect anything to change, but still.

I agree. Hopefully they will fix it in the November update.

That would be silly, because Turbo is actually more fair than regular Warzone. I know how you feel about teams

I’m still wishing they would give us Warzone Firefight Turbo

Eh I didn’t care when it came to turbo. All I cared about was my performance and just a req dump.

Whether JIP is disabled or not doesn’t make a difference. Instead of seeing that 16-18 players quit the game with JIP enabled, you just see 5 or 6 players. The result is the same. And typically, Turbo games don’t become blowouts because of Teams (though it’s far more likely when teams are involved), it’s because one side takes out ALL the high level REQs to start the game, and the other side doesn’t match the firepower.

This will never happen. Unless they make the difficulty of enemies higher than Mythic WZFF, then a Firefight Turbo game mode wouldn’t be a challenge at all.

Didn’t even know they turned JIP off. Wish we could do that in BTB.

They’ve taken away the ability to matchmake with fireteams of 7 or larger.

It was also a good way to finish challenges. Scattershot+camo

So? It’s not necessary for it to be a challenge in order to be fun, and if you want challenging firefight, there’s already Legendary and Mythic. If you don’t like the idea of steamrolling piles of Grunts with a Temple Wraith on round 1, then you pretty much hate fun.

I’m glad JIP is not in Turbo. At least I get to play from the start of a game. 95% of my JIP games result in a loss anyway. I guess it’s luck of the draw, but I rarely see fireteams. Although when well coordinated fireteams of even 6 are present it can pretty miserable WZ or Turbo…lol.

It’s really not. Being spawned camped with infinite snipers, dealing with countless spam of speed boosts that oddly make some players nearly invincible…even if all my shots hit the Spartan that’s using the boost that makes them nearly as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog. Warzone turbo is a mess.

Erm JIP was taken out? I didn’t know that, thought it was still in no?
Anyways the 12 man fireteam can only face off against another well matched 12 man fireteam and not against lone wolfs.
At least that’s what I heard last time unless they’ve changed that too.

People need to accept Warzone Turbo (and Warzone) for what is, an unbalanced mess lol don’t get all bent out of shape because JIP is or isn’t in, or if you go against a full team or something. It’s not worth it… It’s Warzone! Its just a causal silly mode LoL If it really bugs you when a team is busting out the big guns, then get on your headset and tell your team to do the same… But seriously, don’t sweat about anything. Just keep telling yourself “it’s bloody warzone, who cares” Because Warzone is a joke lol

If you can accept the fact that you might play a game of say turbo where everyone is invisible, or there are 8 ultra banshees flying around or something like this, then you should just stop playing it lol

Not getting on you OP, just saying is all

Sure I get it’s an unbalanced mess but it’s one of the few playlists giving good exp at the moment…it makes it feel like I’m forced to play it while putting up with the mess because the exp is helpful. These days I only bother with H5 to try get max rank so it be more frustrating to get something like 2k in modes in classic Halo 3 playlist while Warzone Turbo gives up to 20k, sometimes best to put music on or Netflix on while playing to avoid getting to stressed. When the playlist turns up I try to scavenge what I find, just try to avoid vehicle combat as much as possible and sit back with BR somewhere to take as many long shot’s as I can to avoid the unbalanced mess as much as possible.

Oh the dreaded invisible people

The reason I said Turbo is more fair than regular Warzone is because there’s no req leveling. This means that, in Turbo, whether or not your team can outgun the other team solely depends on which team has a bigger req collection, since there’s none of that “get kills to level up to be able to get even more kills” snowball effect. If the other team has you pinned down in a base, for example, your team can still call in reqs to fight back rather than being stuck at req level 3 while they’re at level 6 or something. Turbo is still very unfair, but I think it’s less so than regular Warzone, for this reason.

I don’t mean to pry, but wouldn’t it be easier to just relax and accept the fact that you won’t get max rank without torturing yourself like this? Is it really worth all the stress for a number? You could play anything you wanted in Halo 5 if you simply let go of the desire for a rank. It’s pretty ridiculous how much XP it takes to level up near the end, anyway. I do understand being a completionist, but this is so much headache…

I wish it was that easy to relax with H5, if 343i made a good/next Halo that I could relax while playing then I would but I’m just putting up with it till max rank is done then maybe go back to MCC. Yep it’s a bit of a headache but feel like it’s needs to be done. I know it’s a lot of exp, that’s why I’m level 148 at moment. I don’t even care about ranked playlists since it’s just awful, stressful to play. The 152 rank is the only reason why I continue to play plus friends keep asking me to play too. Only way I’m going to get anywhere is by putting up with certain playlists to get there faster. Hopefully next weekend has a less stressful repetitive playlist.

I wish my friends would ask me to play Halo 5

Guessing most of your friends hate it too?, only got a few that usually feel up to it. Ever since Reach general friends just moved away from Halo, things haven’t got any better since 343 took over.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. Most of my friends hop from game to game, and don’t stick with them as long as I do. Ironically, I have one friend who still likes to play Halo with me, but he’s gotten so busy with real life, he doesn’t have time for video games anymore. Also this wouldn’t be a problem for me if Halo 5 had split-screen. Oh well

Know the feeling, I remember when H5 first came out, I assumed it had split-screen at the time. Plenty of times friends came over, had to go back to playing MCC whenever there over instead so I can’t get my double exp when that happens.
