Those first two chapters were cringe-inducing. I never want to see another -Yoinking!- Promethean again.
It’s just firefight. Since they took out Brutes, and the Flood, I don’t see how it could be fun or not.
sooooo many Prometheans!!! I wish they would put them in missions a little more so that they don’t feel like they need chapters where you fight A TON of them in order to make up for their lacking in other chapters.

ODST Firefight was actually fun. I killed hours upon hours on it.
This is just mediocre storytelling with terrible mission design.
I thought episode 5 was the best so far. Can’t wait for episode 6
Kind of a nice change actually. Call me crazy, but I LOVE fighting Prometheans, they’re new and really powerful and they actually form a triangle with all 3 of the variants of Prometheans. And you’ll need to kill the Watchers if you don’t want to get overwhelmed again. I hope at some point the track “Arrival” plays while owning Promethean Knight Commanders. Thats my second favorite track in the Halo 4 soundtrack, my absolute favorite is 117. If either of those tracks play while fighting Knight Commanders and just owning them with make me feel like I’m the best of the best, and really BA, just like on Midnight in the campaign.
Palmer wasn’t talking. That’s a good reason to like Episode 5 already.
Two missions disappointed me though. The third mission on Refuge was a waste of an opportunity to do something cool. As soon as the i saw the Covenant Carrier above, the whole level felt like we were going to board it like in Halo CE. Instead, another Spartan Team does it and it’s business as usual.
The last mission, sans the ending, felt pointless. Why was there so much Covenant activity? You don’t end up finding Thorne, which isn’t a problem but it still doesn’t explain as the importance of the area. The repetitive dialogue gets really bad once you reach the holdout area and surviving between waves.
It was also incredibly long and not in a good way. The last mission had my two randoms quit out on me (somewhat into the wave hold out area), adding to what was already a long mission. Luckily i had a Wraith but only the ending salvaged the last chapter. I thought it was totally cool that the Pelican got destroyed and Crimson was captured/killed by the swarm of Covenant forces. All in all, the weakest mission in the episode.
However, i did enjoy defend the objectives missions. It was a nice change of pace and trying to keep the generators from blowing up on The Cauldron was a bit challenging (i still need the Power Outage achievement). I would love to see more these instead of just kill X amount of enemies.

Not even close. I love Firefight. I hate Spartan Ops.

Someone says something like this every time a new episode comes out and tricks me into playing it thinking it’s going to be better than the last x lame episodes, and it never is. You people need to raise your standards.
