Was dual wielding dropped?

If so why? I know it wasn’t very effective in halo 2 or 3, but that doesn’t mean you need to give up on the idea. If all weapons were just given head shot damage I guarantee it would of been used just as much as the br.

I thought it was very effective (if you were in a CQB environment) and yes I agree, they shouldnt throw it out all together. If you dont like it, dont pick up the 3rd weapon :stuck_out_tongue:

I sure hope not. I would love dual-wielding to make a big come back. That’d be a great addition to these wrong additions that I believe 343i is adding to Halo 4.

I’ve heard it repeated that indeed, dual-wielding is dropped. Why? Because it ties together two legs of the golden tripod of Halo combat. You can neither melee nor throw grenades when dual-wielding, and it also trips up the adrenaline-pumping ‘survivalism’ of Halo: CE in which you really had to choose your weapons carefully instead of being able to kill enemies twice as quickly with less thought.

Yeah it was better close range but I would guess it wasn’t good enough. Like halo 3 how many times did you see someone have a tool of destruction that wasn’t a br even on small maps. It just seemed to be something you wouldn’t use if you were trying to win a game.

Yes, no more dual wielding.

Search before you post.

God I hope it does return. Even if it was’nt the most powerful weapons, having two of them really helped kill groups of enemies.

Yes, Duel Wielding was dropped. And it will help balance out the sand box. DW weapons need to be SK haved so that no combo can dominate the maps. That means a lot of weak weapons on map not being used.

I hope it comes back,no reason not to…

I have mostly never seen a lot who have used dual weapon, maybe sometime when i have played halo 3 on SWAT. But guess what? they didn’t get a kill at all. they just rushed into the enemy and died quickly.
