So, I’m wondering why in the e3 trailer and the art for guardians, it seemed like blue team was going to have missions on Sanghelios. Yet, we never play as them there for some reason. Do you think missions were cut from the game due to plot reasons, or it wasn’t ready, or is their another reason?

Yes they were, in the E3 campaign footage Osiris found master chiefs assault rifle in the sunaion city or whatever city over the ocean it was. This was removed from the final version of the game.
I think the plot was revised/rewritten numerous times during development. (and probably for the worse) I can’t say i’m fully happy with the campaign…character development or choices made.
What Infernomorgoth said.
Looking at the reveal trailer and Loche’s debut trailer, it seems like the game had a general idea of what it wanted to be but never reached it because of X reasons. Personally I think someone in the higher ups made a call to get Blue Team into the game so it forced changes. There is little reason for the Spartan squads to even be in the game.
From Loche’s debut trailer which just showed him plowing through covies it seems like H5 was just going to be a solo to solo story. This is reinforced by the Orginal cover art for the game and how Loche was reflected by MC alone but now it shows the squads. If you need no better example of the game falling apart, look at the cover art for H5.
It shows a massive city looking like Meridian but that planet got glassed and only had small towns on it, it has old Halo CE styled Banshee’s flying above the city. Even if it was Merdian the Covenant were never there in the campaign and lastly it shows the Bird Guardian instead of the Derp face ones.

That picture was the whole reason I was wondering this in the first place
So content was cut out on purpose or due to storyline issues ?

I feel like they changed the story for some reason, but I’m not sure the exact reason why
Maybe in a couple years they’ll make a video about the potential plot lines that were scrapped… I really want to know what could’ve been.
