There is only one game type I will SOMETIMES use armor lock in. Elite Slayer Multi Team. Any other game type, I use something else (usually sprint). Anyway, so I just played a game of the said game type which was the first really in months. I start off using dodge and then after getting stuck a couple times switch over to AL.
Every single time I got stuck, I went into armor lock, and I still died. Now the first couple times I thought could have been a case of me not getting into Armor Lock quick enough. You know sometimes when your screen puts you in it but in actuality it was just a tad to slow. Then the next couple times I went into AL immediately and it was a good second before the grenade went off… and yet I still died each time.
So does armor lock not repel grenades stuck to you anymore in Elite Slayer or did I just have an unfortunate game in which armor lock decided to never work?
If you use armour lock after you’ve been stuck, you will die. It’s been changed.
New TU settings.
You are playing TU settings, they were added last year.
The full list of TU changes are as follows:
85% bloom
Armour Lock nerfed, damage you take will be removed from AA usage and you can no longer survive sticky grenades.
Active Camo nerfed to not last as long.
Sword Block disabled
Bleedthrough was added but removed from ALL TU gametypes due to a bug.
If you want to avoid this from happening, play the following playlists:
Team Slayer
Team SWAT
Team Snipers
Living Dead
Invasion
Playlists w/ TU settings are now only located under the Evolved section in the playlist selection for Matchmaking.
Just note that if you are in Matchmaking, if a gametype has a TU prefix at the start of it, it means you will have these settings too.
It isn’t a bug, but a new feature.
Armor Lock changed in all TU lists. It now:
- Will not repel grenades anymore
- its duration is shortened by all damage done to you (so if a grenade goes off near you, the meter drops significantly)
- I believe if the meter is low enough, and you take significant damage while in Armor Lock, you will be knocked out early and take some damage. I could be wrong on that part though
Basically, Armor Lock was changed to be a “block” instead of a “timeout”
