Warzone's BIG flaw

Welcome to warzone, where the the team to first capture the center base has a higher chance of winning than the other team. Don’t forget to remember how hard it is to take that base once the enemy team has captured it. In what way is that fair?

Hardly. If you’re smart, you’ll bombard the middle base long enough to keep them spawning there, then send a couple guys around to their side armory. Then you have both armories and can push on the Fortress from both sides. Me and my friends use this tactic on Stormbreak and it works most of the time. A little different on the other maps. But try it on Stormbreak. It works.

Damn straight . Thank god someone else sees how unbalanced it is , and I’m not saying this as someone who is annoyed at losing , this is from winning and owning teams because we got the Base first , as soon as a team slips 150 points behind it’s game over . After 600 points it becomes a waste of time

Big flaw?? Lol that’s the whole point of any capture and hold game type in any game. Both teams get one close to spawn and fight for middle. When did you guys start playing online?

capturing the middle SHOULD be hard lol it’s the damn middle. What the heck? Is this a serious complaint?

If they are to strong middle go cap the one close to their spawn. If you have the worst luck in the world and somehow they managed to split perfectly to guard both. Go kill some bosses till they leave brace to A kill the boss or B go for your base.

There is nothing like taking over spire from the other team. The fortress can be a ***** to get back, cause someone can crouch and wait till other plays spawn but it’s from impossible lol

I’ve seen center base captured and still go either way. Just focus your efforts on retaking it.

Sounds like Halo 2 and 3, don’t you think? First team to control the power weapons usually wins. I see no issue.

To me, warzone is less about winning and more about having a fun, relaxed time.

Its fair, you have in game chat and party chat so talk to fellow spartans and take it out. With the req system you can literally get any weapon you want for the job anyway. For instance I like to over react to scorpion tanks because I hope a fellow player will grab a anti tank weapon in their req supply.

I need to be on your team because I have been loosing since I started playing WarZone, due to coordination or my team just ground pounding to their deaths into the ocean at Apex.

Kind of agree, kind of disagree. If you’re playing with a fireteam/team of friends, it makes it a little bit easier to coordinate your attempts at taking the middle base. But, if both teams are just random groups of people, then yea, taking back the middle base is nearly impossible, depending on the map. It usually just ends up with an endless firefight between your directional base (east/west) and the other team in the middle base. Nobody ever breaks in or tries anything, it’s just people shooting at eachother from the comfort of the bases.

I don’t have a huge problem taking the Spire on whatever map that is, but since I’ve played, my team has only captured the Fortress from the other team twice. It’s way to hard to capture that middle base after the other team gets it. And I’ve never won a game when we didn’t have that center base, although on the map that the Spire is on, I’ve own plenty of times without having the middle base, albeit less often.

I haven’t played on the map with the garage on it enough to have an opinion on that one, for some reason I almost always play on that Snow map.

You realize that you can win warzone without ever having more than one base, right?

Sometimes the Middle on Stormbreak can be a curse if the other team can pin you into the middle with both control of both armories they can be free to go around and collecting VP.

You can spawn at your own base…behind the respective armory on your side.

I know you can but it will take more than 1 or two to spawn at home base to break control

To me, Warzone games seem to be won by taking out bosses rather than bases.

Oh, no the biggest flaw with Warzone is how much time I spend running towards combat. And when I get there, I die, respawn, and run back. It gets boring really fast.

Bases aren’t nearly as important as taking out bosses. That is my only complaint. They should be valuable, but I’m starting to think 150 is just a tad bit too much. Even lowering it to 100 I think would make it more fair and not as extreme. I know teams get discouraged when they get down early and the other team takes out two early 150vp bosses.

It is fascinating in its balance. The middle base is a really interesting tug of war situation, but as was said earlier, flanking by taking both armouries can really help keep the opposition penned in. And also yeah, the bases don’t count for much; kills don’t count for much; bosses count for so much it can be a bit crazy; vehicles can be rather OP.

I liken it to WoW’s Alterac Valley … or at least that is the potential I think warzone has, because AV as it used to be was the single best piece of multiplayer game content ever. Warzone could do with being a bit bigger and having spawning points distinct and separated from the bases, but also able to be captured. I for one wouldn’t mind if they scaled it up and scaled the bosses to make the game last a lot longer - so that we might really get patriotic about our team affiliation, for a start. Of course that works best in the MMO application, but in a way they have set up warzone to have that feel.
