Yeah, I don’t think it needs underscoring but I’m also willing to be a little patient with folks since the game and game type are so new. With the maps being so huge they take a little getting used to. There’s more freedom to wander away from battles. Is it me, or did anyone else expect Warzone to be faster paced & more frenetic than it really is?

Well, see, here’s the thing. Warzone is not a ranked play list. That’s my opener. Second: nobody is under any orders to play objectives (capping bases or killing bosses). They’re there if that happens to be the thing in warzone that you like doing, or if you’re that player who is all about the win. Some people only want to kill enemy spartans. Some people only want to kill marines. Some people only want to take in the scenery. Short of simply going afk for the whole match (which is impossible, btw - the game will auto-boot you), a player’s personal agenda is neither under your control nor any of your business. If you’re that concerned about winning then get 11 other guys on your friend list who feel the same way and don’t go into warzone without them. In closing I’d like to revisit point number one: not a ranked play list. It’s a casual play list. Be casual. Relax. If you can’t find a way to have fun in this game without winning… well, I’m not gonna come right out and call that a personality defect, but there are some who would.
Warzone is for me to kick back and have fun. If I win, great, if I lose, I still get REQ. Is it frustrating, sometimes, but I still have fun. There are so many ways to play and win in it that sometimes the differing strategies just don’t play well together, and that is always a possibility with randoms…
I know I know, I just needed to vent, I get the strategies may conflict and ya win some lose some, I was just pissed cause the last team I was with, sat at home base ONLY i think myself and 3 others tried to cap bases and kill red team, it was indeed sad and frustrating.

I am completely new to halo multiplayer. Ive been cussed at on mic, ridiculed, etc for my absolutely poor k/d ratio. I also play defensive meaning I sit back and guard a base thats been captured while EVERYONE else runs away to attack and kill things. My only issue thus far (besides the rants, rage quits, etc) is that when I make a call out that whatever I am guarding is getting attacked, no one comes for support. The result is we lose the base. I dont rage quit, i do get irritated, but since its not ranked I just go with the flow and shrug off most things I encounter.
from what I was told after getting cussed out in a arena match for going 1 kill 9 death 13 assist (my first ever halo multiplayer game):
Arena (including BTB) = serious only, dont join unless you’re “good” to “great”. Overall Arena K/D should be 3+ before going in or your just holding the team back.
Warzones: Anyone can join and have a blast. Simple pew pew pew time. If you have “pros” on the team do what they say or leave (I ignore anyone yelling at me in warzones 
)

I think people play Warzone because it’s the only thing near “social” we have - and to escape the sweaty palm mlg kids in Arena. Warzone kids just wanna H5 & Chill. I don’t blame them.

I guess what are people doing if they are doing what you mention? I mean its not like you can go explore… What I think is crazy is its a giant cluster-f**k. People run straight ahead at the enemy. No attempt to organize a group to out-flank the enemy. I know its the nature of the game. But its frustrating watching people just go up against the most fortified part of whatever is being defended…
it can be a bit frustrating, but at the end of the day, I think because there is so much to do and so little mic communication, folks just fail to coordinate. As mentioned previously, social so no worries!
