Warzone

…is the most unbalanced, pay 2 win, B.S. dumpster fire gamemode I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing.

It’s literally NO FUN to get into a game, and get your -Yoink- kicked with a final score of 89-1000.

8/10 games we wind up losing. If it were maybe something like Battlefield 1’s Operations (attack and defend parts of the map that move up in sectors) that has an ACTUAL focus on teamwork, it might be fun.

And the fact that everyone else seems to have the Halo 2 BR. Definitely a P2W.

Or… The game has been out for over 2 years now and people playing have a stock of weapons they have earned <.<

Warzone isn’t for balanced play. The balance is dependant on players using reqs, more so the right req for the right time.

i barely ever play warzone. mostly play ranked but i played a few warzone games last week, i won some and lost some. seems balanced to me.

I wouldn’t call it pay to win because lots of people do fine without ever spending a penny on reqs. I would call it “play with at team if you want to have a chance at winning consistently”. I tend to have terrible luck going solo in WZ

Teamwork does contribute to wins in WZ. Either use a mic or be more aware of what your teammates are pushing for. Even joining a spartan company can help give you a group of players to team up with. I see the OP’s point about the REQ system, but the game is over 2 yrs old. You’re going to encounter similar situations in any game that old. Play FF to get RP for REQ packs, and sell off low tier weapon cards like Boltshots and Suppressors.

Only dumb people pay to win at warzone. Playing warzone gives you lots of xp, many req points and as mentioned the game has been out for a while now, of course a lot of people are going to have all the good reqs by now.

You won the last 9 out of 12 warzone games. So where did your “8/10 games we wind up losing” come from? lol

And this is why Trueskill 2 was made… Now you have no reason to complain, unless you’re so entitled that you think you should get every single handout to help you out like a fairy princess from a Disney movie.

^ This. I never spent a single dime on the game for myself, and I still managed to get all of the reqs in the game. It’s not impossible. Just requires a decent grind.

Also you are SR97, that tells me you haven’t been playing all that long so of course you don’t have all the reqs yet in a game that has been out for awhile. You should grind heroic warzone firefight for RP and start opening those packs… Open nothing but silvers till they refund two 1500 point req cards instead of unlocks then open golds. That way you get all the silver level stuff at silver rp price and not gold.

I never paid a dime and used to solo go all the time. I went with it, won some lost some and I have unlocked everything minus special items. I am now part of a company but they arent always available so I invite friends to my fireteam and am constantly making more for this purpose.

Stop complaining. Dont like it dont play.

You thought Warzone would be balanced?

Warzone is actually pretty fun in my opinion. I enjoy it regardless of loss or win, but I suppose that is up to the player. I honestly think it isn’t too unbalanced, however this might be to the ludicrous amounts of req cards I have from playing for so long.
I can see how someone with few reqs might be angry about “balancing” but that’s just how the game works, it’s not an issue of weapon/upgrade/vehicle power, it’s a measure of how well your team works together. Even if you have few reqs, a good teammate would let you get in their vehicle with them, a good team wouldn’t leave you out of a strategy to take a capture zone. And the only way to get more reqs is to play Warzone or pay for them, so the key to a good Warzone match is a good team really. Essentially it all boils down to this:

  1. No Reqs? Join an active Spartan Company, stick with the team, take on objectives and enemies/bosses together.

  2. Lots of Reqs? Teammates are nice, but you can go solo too, stomping the enemy team in your Hannibal Mantis is always fun.

Side Note: No, I don’t have the Halo 2 Battle rifle either, and I wish I did, but I actually don’t mind too much since I can use the basic BR just as well.

When I play warzone I really don’t care about winning or losing. More about my performance and just having fun. I haven’t played regular warzone in a while. I wait for turbo so I can burn all the reqs I want. But in regular warzone what I love to do is steal boss kills. I absolutely love stealing them. It’s so sweet. :slightly_smiling_face:

But what if you have like 80+ kills and some boss kills and your team loses? all of that work for nothin IMO…Its frustrating.

The team may have lost but I consider that a win for me.

Spoken like a true Spartan.
