ok is it me or when you play warzone and do really well and get better stuff isn’t that similar to the ordance drops from halo 4 I thought we didn’t want this wont this make the other team so overpowered if they do well and get better gear I find it really uunbalanced I’m not having a go I’m just stating lol I cant wait for this game though
People need to have different weapons in modes that have a lot of players since the pacing would probably get messed up. Everyone having the same weapon in arena works since its small maps… Few players… And more competitive. Large scale modes are just not competitive

Adding on this both teams will have the same amount of energy to spend around the same time so it won’t be unbalanced. 343 has stated that in warzone you’ll be matched with people with similar req cards but you won’t really care when someone has a better weapon variant than you because
1 you’ll be dying a lot any way not trying to say you suck at halo
2 There are so many people on each team someone will have a better weapon than you
3 No matter what gun they have you or some one on your team will kill them and take that weapon

I was watching one of Greenskull’s videos earlier, and he ordered himself a Ghost from his REQs and he got killed mere seconds after driving out of the spawn area. Imagine how that would have felt if you wasted your ENTIRE power level on a high-end power weapon, and got flattened before you even left your base.
I think it solves the problem of 12 people fighting for one or two banshees. Also it allows the possibility of larger vehicle battles, since the map doesn’t restrict how many vehicles a team could spawn.
I like Warzone how it is.
. <This is a period. Examine it carefully.
But to answer your concern, Warzone is just a game mode that you play for fun. You don’t need to worry about your K/D, you can just kick back and enjoy playing the game. It’s ok to have casual elements in those kinds of game modes as long as they don’t detract from the game.
Everyone has the chance to get a Phaethon or a Sniper Rifle in Warzone, you just need to play decently for 5 minutes. I doubt that one team will ever be overpowered without the other one being overpowered as well, unless one team is full of newbies that have never played Halo before. But then again, I’ve never played it, so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt.

That’s the risk you take. The point is everyone has access to the vehicles and power weapons. You gain power levels just by playing the game. Plus more skilled players will always win

I actually like the idea. Also; no offense intended but please use punctuation. It makes it a chore to read posts like this.

So much this.
Reminder; Warzone is FOR casual players.

And what does that mean? That players in the warzone playlist are less competitive than those in the regular MM section, or that those seeking a little bit of fun can only play warzone.
Anyway back on topic, having the req system is a little like 4’s ordinance but balanced with the stationary req terminals and the selector in the respawn screen. The energy levels also mitigate OP-ness since it requires a certain level to use certain weapons (and who said the person getting a sniper rifle or rocket launcher is good with it).
During some parts of warzone gameplay theres no action happening at all, then you kill some ai then run again to kill some more. Feels empty would of felt emptier without the a.i. and if there really is a mode without them bump up the player count or something the map feels like a marathon til you actually meet players.
Ordinance drops in halo 4 were great it was stupid to take them out

Your entitled to your opinion, but its wrong… Lol…just kidding… Ordinance could work in warzone, and its pretty much what the req system is based on…it just shouldnt be in arena since it takes the equal fair fights in arena away.

I guess I’m a filthy casual since I’ll be spending more time in warzone than in arena…
Yes ordinance is horrible for arena Halo b/c it creates way too much randomness, but Warzone is not arena Halo. Halo 5 will offer an arena Halo experience and Warzone (more like a MOBA), so there is no real issue here (since the player can now choose which type of experience they want to take part in)
Dat Phaeton doh?!

I actually liked the Ordnance drops in H4.
Sure it produced randomness. But random can be fun. Sometimes.
