With the way the req system works most players will never unlock everything. This means there is a lot of content that players are missing out on. Now I understand that the req system is purposely made to prevent people from getting everything and to prevent them from at least getting what they want because that is how microtransations are. All I can think when I open a req pack and get another set of armor that I already have but has a stripe is that I will never get all the stuff I want. Now this of course makes warzone unbalanced with people who have better reqs but the limited use also causes the problem of those people with a handful of the good reqs are afraid to use them in any situation that doesn’t guarantee some kills. I personally don’t call in heavy stuff if my team is down by a lot and unfortunately that mentality basically guarantees the win for the other team who isn’t afraid to call in stuff because they are winning.
Now If everyone had unlimited uses and had access to all reqs the game would not only be fair but would make it more fun overall. People would be more likely to call in better reqs and the game would be more interesting I think since we would see a lot more on the field at once. I mean how often do you see a pheaton or a mantis? Sure there might be some balance issues with people calling in answers and whiplashes all the time but I honestly think that would be easy to fix just by tweaking the power system. Maybe make calling the same thing multiple times costs slightly more power each time is just one idea and I’m sure 343 could balance it. They could even keep the Yoinking! microtransactions and just make it all cosmetic and maybe add vehicle skins as something applied instead of treated like a whole new vehicle when it’s not. That is just my two cents I know this will never happen but I can’t help but dream of a halo 5 where the req system isn’t utter -Yoink-.

You gotta grind the hell outta Halo to unlock all the reqs. Im SR 129 and just need the Prophets Bane, Whispered Truth, and all the Mythic/Legendary armors left. And like 1 visor or something.

So… basically combine arena fair starts and warzone mechanics to have arena warzone? I mean if you want balance just go play arena. That’s what arena was made for. Warzone isn’t meant to be balanced with fair starts apart from the very beginning. While it indeed would be fun it would be very impractical and the so called “balancing” of WZ REQs because everyone is calling in answers and whiplashes would make the point of having the answer and whiplash redundant anyways…

Nope, it wouldn’t work this way at all. The better teams would req up faster and just destroy the lesser teams in the same way they do now. I’ve seen games where one team is using tanks, banshees, snipers, ect, and the other team is still using pistols. lol
The snowball effect would still be in place and it might actually be worse.
It’s easy to unlock everything in this game IMO. It doesn’t take that long. I have a full time job, an active social life, and have had everything unlocked for months. For new comers it’s even easier now that emblems don’t count the same way when unlocked.
Eventually you will get all the reqs. Like everyone is saying, you just have to grind it out. Reqs are just incentive to keep the game interesting.
When I saw Warzone at E3 last year that’s what I thought it was going to be when the game released. Talk about disappointment, I wanted to blow people away with lasers and gauss cannons.

REQs are not the problem. There are two problems, horrible mismatches(due to teams vs randoms) in matchmaking. The other is point swings related to bosses. that two 150 points swings to a match killer. The whole point structure related to bosses needs to be revamped. there also needs to be a regular warzone with no bosses. NOT WARZONE ASSAULT.
I have no interest in grinding. Will I eventually unlock everything sure if I want to put that much time into it but after the third pack opened that gives me nothing but armor or emblems I lose interest and move on to play something else. The first 100 hours in the game shouldn’t be a chore just to get to the point where I can have fun with all the stuff in the game. And I agree warzone isn’t balanced with the boss stuff which there have already been several good solutions suggested on the forums that 343 clearly doesn’t care. I also dislike arena personally since I feel I am always stuck playing slayer or breakout. I read the new playlist update but what I didn’t see in it is a place to play assault other than grifball.
I guess the closest we can get is super fiesta BTB with vehicles added. Would not mind the maddness one bit
How about Warzone Fiesta? All permanents unlocked for everyone for the duration of the match (still need to get to appropriate REQ level to use them tho) with a random power weapon or vehicle granted upon accessing the REQ station? LOL
(OR limit loadout weapons to Magnum/AR only, but still do the random REQ.)
I actually could see them implementing something like that, once the next Halo game drops and this game’s population tumbles, and they realize no one is gonna pay for REQ’s anymore.
Oh? I’m casually playing Halo 5 for fun since the release and I have 100% of the REQs unlocked.
So please, don’t say most people will never unlock stuff.
PS. I didn’t spend a single $$$ on REQs.
It would be cool if they unlocked all reqs for Warzone Turbo, maybe with like 5 each req each game. (Even that won’t happen because they want you to purchase reqs if you can’t grind them)
