Warzone with no AI bosses

What are your thoughts on a Warzone with no AI bosses? obviously reduce the number of points required to win to say 350 (with bases adding to your points) or 250 if holding bases is inconsequential. I know that there would be exploits to this as well but what do you think?

i guess, but it becomes slayer in a WZ map then

They’d have to up the point totals for killing Spartans for this to work. Holding more bases ups the value of Spartan kills (and simultaneously lessens the value for the team with the least amount of bases), but it still takes a while to amass 100 points on kills alone in Warzone.

Warzone Assault already provides the Warzone experience sans enemy AI.

If you’re talking about creating a “Warzone Slayer” experience, where the only way to gain points is to kill enemy Spartans, that probably wouldn’t work too well. In WZ and WZA, there are objective points where both teams converge, leading to big fights in 1 or 2 places on the large map. If it was a traditional Slayer game type on a huge WZ map, then you’d have a bunch of little fights going on all over. It would probably feel less action-packed. I think BTB Slayer gets away with it because it creates points of interest with the weapon and vehicle spawns, but in Warzone Slayer, that wouldn’t exist because of the REQ system. You really need the addition of the control points to focus the fighting in Warzone. And like I said, you already have that in Warzone Assault.

I’ve made mention in the past of wanting to see a Warzone Dominion mode in the future that focused primarily on the base capture objective, but could still lead to an early victory or upset by core destruction. Scoring would simply be based on the Stronghold method meaning no points for kills.

Base defenses or fortifications would be the extent of any AI aspect of that mode. By that I mean the REQ system would allow players to opt to call in fortifications like destructible shield doors, friendly AI marines, plus automated turrets or mounted turrets that the marines or players could use, but players would have to weigh the use of their REQ Points for base defense instead of equipping themselves with Weapons, Vehicles, or Power Ups.

Have you tried Warzone Assault? One team starts out defending a base the other tries to capture it within 6 minutes, no AI spawns in except for marines to protect the base. If Blue team captures the base the game continues to another base and the time is extended. REQ are called in but the matches are shorter and everyone focuses on trying to take or defend the single base. I think this game mode kinda fits what you are describing… or maybe even BTB since its just a bigger map with bigger teams with bigger score/time limits and no AI or REQs.

You can’t use reqs on demand and btb maps are smaller

Map is way too big for spartans vs spartans
Play warzone assault instead.

No bit obj map or modes and strongholds is a joke

well, WZA is impossible to get games so it seems no one plays that and it’s kind of rinse and repeat and with my limited skill, high killstreaks are impossible. I once got 33 straight kills in a WZ and lost out on the unfrig because we took out the AI. I suppose if it’s a massive slayer, I have a slight chance of getting an unfrig.
BTB doesn’t have the access to req’s

Then it would be a real warzone, like big team battle times 20.

The only way I could see this working would be if the teams were bigger, but I would still be doubtful about it. I don´t know, it doesn´t sound like a very good idea but who knows. I´d just stick with Warzone assault.
