Sorry if it has been posted already but I was wondering, looking at the real money price of REQ packs, what options was the best in permanent unlocks.
24.99$ for 1 Warzone REQ pack
vs
5 x 2.99$ gold REQ packs AND 5 x 1.99$ silver REQ packs (worth 24.90$)
I think gold packs give permanent unlock-ables that aren’t found in silver. Either way I’ve heard a very interesting strategy getting the most out of your packs, start by unlocking a whole bunch of common grade perm items using bronze packs to drop the chances of getting them in a silver/gold pack instead. In theory, if 343 hasn’t placed a constant weight on perm unlocks, you should end up with better stuff quicker in the long run (meaning, you won’t see much difference if you only open 5-10 packs).
Yea, legenday permanent unlocks are gold and up only. but i’ve heard the same thing about unlocking lower ones first then going silver then gold so you won’t get lower tier unlocks with bigger REQ packs.
But this was mostly about having 25$ of REQ packs on either 1 warzone REQ pack or 10 mixed gols and silver REQ packs

I’d get the warzone req pack. It has more permanents (3 per pack vs 2 in gold) but you can only get that warzone package once so don’t try to buy more than one. You get 14 packs in it but only 2 per week so every week you’ll get 2 more to open till all 14 are gone.

The problem is that bronze packs only have a chance to get a single permanent so you could open 10 packs and not get 1 permanent common. I’d stick to silver and gold besides the warzone package. Personally I’ll open mostly gold, maybe a few silver depending on what I need since no commons are in gold packs.

Ohhhh, so thats the pack that is worth about 14 packs… I see, thanks for the heads up!
This -Yoink- is just gambling for kids. Pray on peoples impulses to sell YOU -Yoink-. Waste your money guys on vanity items that don’t exist and will not exist years from now.

Oh, the irony…
Decypher, you are obviously right on the money, pardon the pun. Microtransactions are an incredibly manipulative business practice and people spend hundreds of dollars on dice roll “packs” full of random items that provide the tiniest inkling of pleasure to those who are addicted, and only heightens the obsessive urge to keep going, despite the fact that they have spent real money and received nothing. These items that you are paying so much money to attain, cost the developers absolutely nothing to create, outside of a couple man hours to tweak the stats and colors. It provides an artificial advantage to a game that has always valued balance and the money spent is all in addition to the $65-$100+ initial purchase of the game itself (priced accordingly to the different editions). This game is NOT free to play and it will make insane profits, based only upon the sales of the game itself (the way this industry has ALWAYS worked), yet these petty cash grabs are just another embodiment of greed in an industry already saturated in sickening, abusive business practices, scams, and scandals. Everything should be open to be unlocked to everybody, with equal opportunity within the vanilla game itself. Sure you “earn” req points and packs naturally by playing the game, but so do the people who are spending money on super packs to supplement their experience. More unlocks and more items equals more fun and unbalanced advantages for those who spend the most money. And while permanent unlocks are one thing, the single use items are basically Titanfall’s burn cards, gone wrong. You were inundated with cards in that game, at all times, and we’re never even given the opportunity to spend money for them. That’s the way a game like this is supposed to feel. Bonus power ups that anybody can get at the exact same rate without exceptions. The first time I launched Halo 5, I entered the requisitions room and the very first image I’m shown is a giant banner asking me to give them $25 for their req bundle. I hadn’t even set foot into a gameplay situation and they were already making me feel less equal, like I’m missing out on something right out of the gate. It’s a very unpleasant feeling, having all of these $ signs thrown in my face and links to the store located in every possible menu screen, it just gives me a sick feeling and I’m starting to associate this parasitic vibe and aura of disrespect with the game itself. It’s a damn shame, but frankly, it is all but impossible to immerse myself in a game these days, as I am constantly shaken back to reality everytime I see another unwelcome, abusive business practice sitting where the feeling of majesty used to be.
The BR and the SMG seem to be level up unlocks and you earn a fair amount of REQ just playing so I would save the cash and just play the game.
