I want to upgrade marines and armories/mini bases using req points in Halo 6. I don’t personally think these upgrades should be available at the middle base, as controlling it is usually a big advantage on its own.
Marines
Upgrade 1, 4 req points, Specialized Training: Marines offer buffs. 1 medic marine will improve friendly shield recharge time in the base if the marine is alive. 1 marine will have two frag grenades spawn on him every minute, for friendly Spartans to use as replenishment. 1 radio operator marine will improve spartan radar range when in the armory, as long as the marine is alive.
Upgrade 2, 6 req points, Heavy Weapons:
Marines have better weapons. 1 marine will have a submachine gun. 1 marine will have a BR. 1 marine will have a DMR. Grenades marines throw now do half damage, but have proxy fuses. Marines will aggressively attack enemy Spartans within the armory.
Upgrade 3, 9 req points, ODST’s:
ODST pods will drop in for reinforcement to replace the Marines, damaging enemies directly underneath the landing point on top of the armory. They have better health, and have a helmet requiring at least 2 headshots for a kill. Their proxy frag grenades do more damage than marines, but less than a traditional grenade. 1 ODST will have a shotgun with shells fitted to do extra damage against spartan shields. 1 ODST will have a Sniper rifle. 1 ODST will have SPNKR. ODSTs don’t drop their heavy weapons upon death, but always drop two frag grenades. ODST’s will surround, suppress, and annihilate enemy threats.
I have ideas for base upgrades too, but I feel like I’ve already typed a lot.
