Most of us have been there…playing Warzone until you start a new game…and you can’t use any REQs! Oh no…stuck to an AR and magnum all game, but it isnt that bad!
Here’s how to survive, with these 2 basic weapons.
1) Grenades are now your best friends!
This IS Halo!
Grenades are VERY helpful.
Remember, if you throw a good grenade, you can remove 3 peoples’ shields at once!
Switch to the magnum…get them head-shots.
2) The magnum is a 5-shot kill!
This is important.
The magnum IS powerful, it can be used at medium range, and it’s a 5 shot.
If you crouch, thrust and strafe, you can kill someone wielding a BR pretty easily.
And the DMR is also a 5-shot kill, just like the magnum.
3) The SMG will EASILY outgun the AR!
Do not forget this!
Don’t charge in with the AR…
The old Halo tactic marines and spartans, Short Controlled Bursts.
The AR is usable at medium range!
Not just short range. Use this to your advantage.
4) The combo…
The AR can take out a shield.
Magnum can get a head-shot. Use BOTH!
5) You NEED to get used to picking up random weapons.
You HAVE to.
If you’re running low on ammo…you need another weapon.
It could be a storm rifle, could be an SMG, could be a BR, or a DMR.
However, it may have an attachment that you don’t like…tough luck…you’re using that gun now soldier.
So pick it up, pull that trigger.
You don’t like the long-shot BR? Tough! You’re using it now!
You can sometimes pick up a BR, sometimes a SAW…get used to EVERY WEAPON.
6) Understand you ARE at a disadvantage!
Yes, you have these tips.
But, you are still at a disadvantage.
You cannot spawn in power weapons or vehicles or power ups or armor mods.
You are at a disadvantage.
7) Everything has a disadvantage too…every weapon…
People have over shields, people have speed boost power ups and armor mods, people have rocket launchers, people have banshees…but you don’t.
Learn how vehicles can be easily taken down, and all power ups have weaknesses.
- Damage boost - If they can’t hit you, they can’t hurt you… - Over shield - Give them a love tap from behind, they’ll faint from your love… - Speed boost - If they try spartan charge you, you can move out the way, or use a grenade :)… - Active Camo - They are easier to see when they move or when they shoot…look for that… - Scorpians or Wraiths - Attack from behind, pick up a plasma pistol if you can! - Banshees - If they come for the splatter…jump, thrust and hijack. - Warthogs - Get in the side seat! Melee everyone else in the hog! - Mongooses - Just head-shot the driver… - Ghost - If you find a railgun, they 1-shot you in a ghost. Or try to board them! Be careful though! - Phaetons - Eh…you’re pretty -yoinked-…but Spartan Laser and Plasma Pistol! (You CAN hijack a phaeton!) - Rockets - Thruster is a close friend
- SAW - Stay long range, the SAW IS usable at medium range…if it’s the answer…you’re -yoink-ed! - Sniper Rifle - Use cover! Keep moving! Don’t stand still! It has a flashlight on it too! - Railgun - It has a bright light on it when it’s charging, use the thrusters! - Shotgun - Stay long range, it also has a light. - Spartan Laser - Keep moving! It’s also got a bright red light… - Hydra - Use cover! - Fuel Rod - Never stay still, use rapid strafes and thruster packs. - Needler - Use the thrusters and don’t stop moving! - Plasma Caster - Use thrusters all the time, use cover WHEN POSSIBLE…cover can get you killed sometimes due to the charged caster bullet…thing. - And finally: Energy Sword - It is a short ranged weapon. Stay at distance from it.Many weapons other vehicles not included are either too easy, or similar to ones I have mentioned…
