Warzone Turbo, So Many Scorpions

I’m not complaining, but from observation of playing some Warzone Turbo this weekend, I’ve noticed occasional matches, about 7 out of 10, where enemy player(s) would camp outside of the opposing teams spawn in front of the shields with a Scorpion, as if there’s not enough on the battlefield, right? Haha
My thoughts though is it is slightly a problem since you don’t have much time to jump into the actual battlefield with a Scorpion or any REQ vehicle you spawn in because it’s getting shot at the moment you leave the shields because of them players. It’s obviously survival of whoever reacts first on the trigger, but it is slightly impeding. I have played normal Warzone Matches with the same situation, but it’s those matches that are annoying because you have to wait so long for the REQ energy to return. Only then do I really have a problem.

My question and reason to mention the topic, is have anyone else encountered the same thing a lot or some this weekend? Has it happened to you outside of Warzone Turbo? I will note this isn’t an issue of the core being taken over either or the teams dominating, it’s the fact that they are sitting deliberately outside of the shields just waiting to shoot you as you come through, lol. It’s just rather annoying especially if it means there’s a higher risk of losing a high REQ vehicle withing 30 seconds of spawning.

Out of all 1 matches of warzone turbo matches that I could will myself to play, the enemy team barely took any reqs out. At the most I saw an ultra ghost.

The only issue with multi tanks is: a traffic jam.

I am in full support to a halo version of World of Tanks. I have played games of 6 tanks vs 4 tanks on March on Stormbreak and it was fun. As for vehicular spawn killing … That’s been an issue since launch and is still in the game.

You must have bad luck with team a if they let an enemy scorpion sit there. Most scorpions or any tank or vehicle gets taken out rather quickly in the games I have played.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Warzone Turbo! I was motivated to play it more after using a rare RP jackpot in a short game of it and earned 7,000 RP. I know the spawning thing has been an issue since launch but I’ve rarely saw it with vehicles other than the occasional entire team Camping for some commendations to earn Achilles and various commendations for other things. I’ve had players camp at the fortress vehicle spawn and grenade my first ever Scorpion within five seconds of it spawning, that ticked me off. But it’s not really an issue in Turbo, since there’s so much going on, I just would imagine them players being elsewhere dealing with the swarms of players with other scorpions and other REQ vehicles.

I notice though in Warzone Turbo it happens a bit more frequently, my only annoying with that is the potential to lose a bunch of REQ vehicles and have to regain that collection of them, which won’t hurt if there’s frequent times the gametype is available.

To be fair that’s what I’d think, since it was on Raid on Apex 7, but that map also has many ways to get around teams, since most of them tend to converge on the Eastern Armory or the spire. Since I was on Red Team that was probably what allowed it and not many people on my team focused on using vehicles other than banshees and ghosts. It’s more of an observation than anything, and it is impeding haha.

bah, it’s just another silly playlist to have lots of fun

Not sure what your expecting. Warzone turbo: everyone has Answers, Norgfangs, and Splazers. All of which tear through tanks. Yet alone those endless fleets of banshees

I know, it adds to the endless fun, but you’d think, just for a second, that guy with that Scorpion could be making so much more use of it and getting so many more kills on the battlefield where the armories are being attacked at endlessly, and not at a nearly deserted base spawn. :stuck_out_tongue: But that’s just my perspective, haha

Also it would be easy to take him out… just put on active camo level 3 and sneak up on him board him or blow him up with rocket launcher

I kinda was spawning in with a Wraith when I noticed him, lol. I wasn’t gonna risk my wraith being taken by a greedy teammate :stuck_out_tongue:

I was playing Noctus earlier and spawned in an Ultra Banshee for the sole purpose of taking down a tank. Worth it.

Phaeton also solves the tank problem, if you dodge enough. Thing packs a punch, but it is made of wet sand paper

That said, I have noticed the tanks in turbo. Vehicles in general, actually. I like it, gives it more of a war zone feel

I haven’t unlocked any ultra banshee or the Phaetons just yet, but I agree from observations it helps in traditional Warzone for sure. I’m not bothered by the amount of them in Warzone Turbo, I think it’s fun. It’s only a bother when you Spawn in a high REQ tier vehicle and lose it just after for campers in a normal Warzone match. For instance, my first ever Scorpion was taken from me in the fortress spawn on Stormstrike, within five seconds of spawning. I love it otherwise in Turbo though, there’s so much distractions and chaos.
