Warzone Turbo is 343's response to fix farming.

Think about it. Its impossible to farm if you and your enemy are on equal footing. The extremely high REQ regeneration and immidiate Level 9 REQs leaves it very hard to farm.

Most of the time, the farmers have a higher REQ level than the defenders, as long as they have Plasma Pistols and Spartan Lasers, they won’t let you get to a higher REQ level, they’re the victor.

But with this, you’re spawning in ONI Scorpions, Phaetons, Active Camos to sneak past and capture one of their bases without their knowledge.

343 is definitely aware of farming, and this seems to be a sort of testing ground.

Warzone Turbo, negates the “snowball effect” and being req starved.
Which happens a lot in the regular warzone lobbies if a team starts to fall too far behind it’s very difficult to attempt a comeback.

Yes indeed.

Ive noticed this as well. Ive extremely bad luck when it comes to farming situations and being able to fight back against what would normaly be unbeatable and stand a good chance of turning this around feels good.

Only at the cost of your req collection. But the OP makes a good point. Turbo is an unintentional answer to the farming problem that 343 claims does not exist.

Now the words “we can still take out the enemy core” have actual meaning. Saw it happen twice last night.

I agree it’s impossible to farm kills with even reqs. But this is not 343’s solution to farming.

Its a fun temporary playlist that allows us to burn through a lot of those high level ReQs we rarely would ever use in a regular game.

Warzone turbo is fun for a couple games, but If they ever did something like this to the regular warzone it would break the game mode.

Doesn’t everybody stockpile reqs anyway? I only sell my commons, minus the railgun. & Even after a few crazy spending sprees in WZT I still have like 20-35 (each) of most good reqs, all saved over the last few weeks.

idk ive still seen a lot of WZT games be complete blowouts like 1000-100 a lot a lot

but for a guy like me who literally sold everything except rail guns, snipers, and ultra ghost, (legendary cards as well) it doesnt appease to me lol

I did sell a lot of items to obtain gold packs to finish my req collection.

You can still get farmed since it happened to me yesterday playing against a full ONI party. We were stuck in our home base and our vehicles would just get destroyed by their tanks, banshees, or snipers.

While it is harder it certainly isn’t impossible. Our group still harvested the farm pretty thoroughly last night night.

I have to admit I haven’t really encountered any farming in this game mode yet, and even if your losing it is still very possible to mount a comeback. Was down by 300 points near the end of a game earlier then we managed to triple cap. So I equipped a fuel rod and 4 speed boosts! Ran like Usain Bolt to the enemy core and destroyed it! Would never have been possible in regular Warzone.

its equal farming, nobody plays the objective

Were you really farmed, or did you just go up against with a team that had more skill than you? People tend to confuse that a lot. If they were camping in the core room and not destroying the core, then you were getting farmed. If they couldn’t get to the core room, then you weren’t getting farmed.

Exactly. The 343i said that they are looking at the various possibilities to mitigate farming, but I’m sure that using an entirely separate playlist wasn’t on the list.

And once again, GG on Apex 7 last night! Your crew was definitely better than ours.

I figured it was just for everyone to burn through their reqs faster so they’ll buy more:joy::joy::joy:

There are probably better ways to fix farming, but I guess if you want everyone to burn through all their REQs in a couple games, then yeah this is a good answer.

You can farm in turbo it just happened to me none of us could step out side of the core base it was guarded by a ton of snipers and a few rockets and lasers and every one else charged in with speed boosts galoore
