About half the time, the Spawn points in H5 are not bad, but the other half is awful. Example: I’ve spawned off the cliff and instantly fell to my death on Dark Star.
I’d like to be able to choose how/where to spawn in between games. Choices could perhaps consist of buddy spawning, spawning inside or near the base, etc.
A significant reason for wanting to spawn inside a base is because not only are you normally outside of enemy fire, but the game spawns you with half a combat load and you need to immediately tag a req stations or you’ll run out of ammo too quickly.
Obviously, I’d also love to see 343 spawn players with a full combat load. That would alleviate part of the need to spawn inside a base or near a req station.
I’m interested in hearing other players thoughts on this, so what do you think?

I agree that spawns probably need a rework, don’t think we’ll get them this late into the games life cycle though.
Some interesting ideas though, buddy spawning was a thing in Reach for the Invasion game type. However I don’t really know if I want that back in the game. Made it super difficult to push forward on a map. What if a player is camping behind enemy lines and can continually spawn teammates in behind the opposite team? It just becomes a mess. Could restrict the buddy spawn system to certain areas? But then it just begs the question of why even have the buddy spawn system?
Same with spawning inside the base. If the opposite team is capturing it and I can just spawn inside!? That’s wild
As for spawning with combat loads. Could use Patrol Case? Helps with having a lot more ammo. Part of the game is running out of ammo, have to find new ones and improvise. Just mechanics and skill gap.
Agreed. My point is it would be nice just to have a choice in like 1st 2nd 3rd preferred methods of spawning. As for combat loads, I agree with you again. But who goes into battle with half a combat load?
