Can we please do something about all of the people quitting during warzone matches? (or just any matches in general?) It seems when ever I play a warzone match without my group I get a lobby full of quitters or jump into a match all ready in progress where the team I join only has a handful of players left. Too many people quit when their team is down by 100 points or even worse i see people quitting on their team as soon as they get triple capped… I do not understand why, warzone is created so that you can come back from a huge point difference. It just takes a little effort and teamwork, and it seems like nobody cares or even attempts to communicate if they are not in a group or party. Now I understand that their are a lot of players who just play warzone because it gives them REQ points and XP so they use it to boost, but lets not ruin the playlist for those players that still want to play warzone properly. The REQs they release with each update are becoming less and less desirable because warzone is becoming less and less desirable to play…Idk if its just me who sees all these quitters as a major problem to halo in general, but something needs to be done about it. Either make the bans more strict for quitters or fix the problem some other way because I’ve had enough cry baby quitters on my team to last till the year 2552

well, warzone is SUPPOSED, to have JIP, so your teamates are quickly replaced, but even on Expanded, i seem to be in 7 v 12’s far more often then i should
it’s because people are scared to get farmed

Well that is what I am talking about. When I am one of those replacement players I stay in the game to help out the team that was down, but most of the time any body else that joins sees the situation and leaves immediately…I am just tired of the frequency that teammates quit lately. People need to quit being afraid of being farmed and learn how to play to counter that tactic, or the problem needs to be fixed period because it is becoming a major problem in my opinion. All I can say is I hope that WZ Firefight will draw some of the boosters and quitters away from the true WZ playlist. Go get your REQ points else where haha
It’s a “Social” game they aren’t going to police it as much due to the JIP feature.
Disconnects are also a problem, while I do not suffer from it on a daily basis, others do.
I did get disconnected yesterday before I even got into the game, I mean, it went 3, 2, 1, DISCONNECTED FROM GAME SERVER.
I was like “The -Yoink-?”, and it did show up in my feed as a DNF. I also got a DC today, which was BS, I was just about to assassinate someone, guess the game got tired of me assassinating people =P
Anyway, people disconnect more than they quit, or so I would assume, as a lot of people I have seen leave the game at the start or right after they use a REQ, and why use a req if you are going to quit 2 seconds afterwards?

If people quit farming is guaranteed

I’m under the opposite impression at least in terms of Arena. I cannot count how many times someone has disappeared after they didn’t get a power weapon or Boost to start off a game or they go down 0-5 or the team does.
For some players they need to quit when they start off playing like YOINK.
I’ll only quit when it’s beyond obvious that the other team is farming, essentially their worst player has twenty to thirty kills is a good indicator your team is boned.

I find this very hard to believe considering the frequency of players that quit as soon as their armory gets taken or a boss goes down…it is more than a coincidence at that point. Now I do see a few people DCing here and there but the JIP system handles that pretty good. It is just when Half of the lobby is quitting for very small reason that upsets me, Like I said I understand it is a social playlist but just because its social shouldnt mean quitting is perfectly acceptable.

Well, this was specificly a “Warzone quitting” topic, so I replied in kind with that =P

When I mean at the start, I mean before the Pelicans even touch the ground, I rarely see people quit before the first base capture, and when I do, they do it mid sprint or during a firefight. Kind of hard to instantly quit while running or shooting =P
Of course, there is the odd one out who quit because we didn’t get the first base before the other team, and I find that odd, but there are people who cannot take any kind of loss, even something as small as that, but they are also the people that scream and shout every time they die.
Anyway, point is, there is a lot of connection problems lately.
I think I never seen a match with same full teams from the start til the end. There is ALWAYS someone quitting during a match.
I don’t understand it though… if someone quits - they risk banhammer but also they waste their own time.
They spent 1-30mins playing an then quitting - not only they DNFd but also they didn’t even get the REQ points.
Point made just now> I just entered a WZ match where not only did I join a match in progress where the team I joined was down 190 points but also missing players, but up 2 bases to 1. I’m thinking ok this game can still be won… Nope 4 more players quit on the team I just joined. Now down 5 players we soon get triple capped and camped. People who quit mid game like that ,where it is a close match even, HELP produce farming in WZ for the fact they give opposing teams the short opportunity to get advantages they need.
Warzone is the casual gamemode though… lol if anything… why are there bans on warzone…

This is the mindset that is making it worse…Just because it is supposed to be a casual game mode doesn’t mean quitting should be acceptable.
At the very first sign of adversity in a game, there is a rash of quitters. I report all quitters. Enjoy your bans. (please save the weak takes regarding disconnects, not interested)
I agree with what some of the other people are saying about dropping and being disconnected since this has happened to me from time to time. I do however think it is far to convenient when a player “disconnects” the second my team has has the third base captured and then 3-4 other people have the same thing happen. I think that quitting is definitely a problem in Warzone, more than any other gametype in Arena. Honestly though I would rather have those players quit and possibly be replaced than stay in the game and do nothing or harm the team.

Warzone Turbo is famous for having issues like that
Most of quitters are afraid to be farmed, sometimes when the other team capture the first base in one minute they think… Oh they are farmers, good bye!

Quitting happens often enough in Arena, at least when the season starts. Games get intense and a bunch of people quit because they don’t want to hack it. Anyways, I guess I do see a lot of people quit midmatch in Warzone, but since it’s social I never really gave it much thought. I can see how people quitting makes it way easier to be farmed though. Which stinks.
