Am I the only one that is questioning why we need pods when the whole entire Osiris Fireteam can just use they’re thrusters? its pretty cool but just saying xD
Cause they want to fall into battle in pods 
I dunno, maybe they were out of atmosphere and they need them pods, even tho its all simulated.
Maybe drop pods are/can be tracked and Osiris needs to be way off the board

Cause Osiris were jumping out of a drop ship closer to the surface of the planet using thrusters to slow their descent coming down a slanted hill, which in turn… Also dampened their impact, whilst rolling into their fall…! Which… Also… Dampened their impact… When falling straight down even when using thrusters the gravity will still pull you down with enough velocity to smack you into the ground breaking bones and stuff. Plus I’d say the drop pods were coming from orbit and look awesome regardless. So drop pods = looking awesome.
can spartan armor handle the temprature of atmospheric entry? i seriously doubt it with all the soft spots between plates. jet thrusters in atmo are a totally different situation.

Chief and six also had much larger armor, the new spartan fours weren’t as augmented as the previous ones and are using a lighter thinner armor.

Simulation logic-this is most likely how they will be dropping in unless stealth is needed.

It would be easier to animate a falling drop pod than a spartan I assume.
It would be sweet if they let one team on warzone use drop pods to enter the game for the initial spawn… Would be pretty kewl to watch the opposite team drop in on the battlefield.

Ship was actually already in atmosphere when chief jumped out.
The S-IV’s armor also catches them up aug-wise, its not an issue.
Drop pods just simply look amazing dropping in from the sky
