Warzone needs more Objectives

I really enjoyed playing Warzone when I first got Halo 5, but I don’t find it that enjoyable anymore. When you think about it, it’s a much simpler gametype than it looks: You capture and hold bases, fight enemy players, and fight the same bosses who spawn in the same locations at the same time in every game. That’s really all there is to it, other than using REQs to give yourself a little boost. Some people have suggested that the bosses, where they spawn, and when they spawn should be random in every game to keep players on their toes. I definitely agree that 343 should implement this, but there could be so much more to Warzone. I thought of a few objectives that could spice up Warzone and make it more interesting, I want to know what you guys think and if you have any ideas for new Warzone objectives.

Retrieval - The announcer alerts players that a crate of supplies (such as muntions) has been spotted at a certain location on the battlefield. The goal is to pick up and carry the box (similar to taking the core in Reach’s Invasion) and bring it back to any base controlled by the carrier’s team. The first team to retrieve the supply crate would earn 25 points and a small boost to their REQ or energy level.

Rescue - The announcer alerts players that a squad of 4 to 6 marines are pinned down by Covenant or Promethean forces and need assistance. Unlike other objectives, this one would have a time limit as the marines would die if either team waits to long to save them. Once all the enemies have been defeated, players will then need to take the marines back to their home base using a Troop Transport Warthog and would earn 10 points for each marine they save.

how would rescue work if the apposing team goes after the other teams marines? Would they need to kill them or also cap them, cause one nade can easily clear them.

I can see the retrieval one functioning fine. Just not the rescure, its an interesting idea but it does not really allow for the other team to cap them or provide any difficulty for the enemy to kill them all (they are just too week)

Interesting idea though

Yeh variety would definitely make this a proper team experiance. Ctf style objectives, Koth objectives could be done, random zones popping up and players get points for staying in them, vip objectives where a random player or the best player is chosen to be a target, the first team to Kill the enemy vip gets the points. They would be banned from homebases obviously so they can’t camp.

The retrieval objective should definitely be added, I’m not sure about the rescue though.

I like both ideas, but I can see way too many logistical issues coming up with the Rescue objective.

More objectives in Warzone would definitely keep it interesting.

The Marine one sounds particularly fun

Interesting ideas.
I always thought that at the very least, the number of enemy AI at the beginning of a match should be higher. It takes almost no time lock the first base down.

Warzone was disappointing altogether.
It’s less PvE than everyone was expecting. I was expecting the ability to just spend the whole match fighting AI and still be contributing to my team. But normal AI doesn’t give any VP, and they don’t even spawn outside of player bases and boss spawns, so there isn’t even that match to fight in the first place.
While I admit more objectives would be improving, and appealing, I feel like they would not remedy the disappointment that Warzone brought for many of us.

And to clarify, I’m not saying Warzone is boring, or a failure, but that it didn’t meet expectations.

Why not protect Swords of Sanghelios? That way they at least have energy shields unless you want a giant roving pack of Marines.

My idea behind the Rescue objective is that the marines will side with whoever saved them and immediately board the transport Warthog. Maybe they could buff the marines’ health while in the warthog and the warthog itself so that it would be easier to bring them in.
