Is anybody else having issues with matchmaking in warzone?
could find tonnes of games on the first day and now it always kicks me for not being able to find anyone.
a few guys also from australia have reported the same problem.
Yeah, man. This is frustrating. Some times I would be able to join Warzone for a few hours. Then, most of the time, the matchmaking just doesn’t work and can’t find any Warzone games.
I wish they had a matchmaking search criteria in the options. (a future patch… please?!?)
Black Ops 1 had a similar thing in the options where the games got an option to set the matchmaking search criteria.
1. Local search (just do matchmaking within your country. good connection, few matches)
2. Region search (do matchmaking within your region like europe/asia/north america, south america, middle east and so on. mild connection, more matches)
3. Global search (do matchmaking globally. weak to mild connection, most matches)
I think Halo 5 is using a Geo-Lock matchmaking system, hence not many games found for those regions where xbox one is not popular.
the only problem ive been seeing is not having the time to sort through my Recs between games because the wait is so short 
@Undying puts it very well… I live in Japan where the Xbox One is not getting much love and there is absolutely no game for me to play in Warzone mode!! This is so frustrating cause that’s what I was most excited about.
Please 343i & Microsoft, improve the matchmaking for us in Japan!

I’m assuming that since this is an issue that only a small amount of people have to deal with, they won’t take care of it right away… Hopefully, I’m wrong.
have you tried resetting your modem? it would be worth a shot, ive been finding games consistently since launch and I live in the middle of nowhere in Australia.

I tried to hard reboot the Xbox (10 sec on the power button) but haven’t tried to restart my Airport… I’ll give it a try when I get home tonight, thanks!

Are you finding warzone mode games?
Warzone has a minimum count of players for a game to start. Thus, if you live somewhere where XO is not popular, you will have a really hard time finding a warzone game.
The Halo 5 matchmaking is done by geo-lock method. They group you into a game based on your ip so to eliminate lag and such.
I guess those who live outside these so-called Xbox One popular region (UK, US, Canada), I guess your out of luck in quickly finding Warzone games. It’s a shame as Warzone Assault is pretty fun!
Unless 343 makes an update patch and implement the ‘search’ criteria, till then you’re stuck with your local gamers to play warzone.

What if I join a game with a friend who lives in the US or Europe? I might try that.
I also live in Japan and haven’t been able to find a game since last night, when I was in a party with my bro in the states…

Wait guys. We all bought Halo 5 on our home country xbox store I guess but I just learned that the game only launches in Japan tomorrow!!
So hopefully, we’ll get a larger crowd before the week end… Hopefully will make the warzone playable by the time they figure out a way to enter some manual matchmaking settings?
Good point! I forgot all about how the game isn’t even released in Japan yet haha.
Let’s hope theres some nihonjin that actually own the Xbox One!
