Warzone Mantis Bosses and Splattering

One thing I have been noticing lately is how fast some players eliminate the Mantis bosses, namely the one on Noctus. What I mean is, some players have killed the pilot without destroying the Mantis itself and say if the Mantis has 25% health, a player managed to eliminate it with a standard Rail Gun without having Damage Boost on.

How is that even possible?

The best trick I learned to use on a Mantis is using a Wraith because it can deal a great amount of damage from its mortar and ram it which deals additional damage and can prevent it from firing. Now I don’t know if the enemy team used to two Wraiths they had to eliminate it like 10 seconds since it spawned, but that’s too fast to destroy a Mantis in my opinion. The only way that’s possible is if the entire team takes it out.

Bottom line, how can some players kill the pilot before destroying the actual Mantis itself since it can’t be boarded?

Side note, the Mantis Bosses are the worse, aside from Grunt Jockeys. They are overpowered and the fact they can regenerate all their health when not being fired upon after a certain period of time is ridiculous and unfair.

I also been hating the splattering system in Halo 5 lately. It is so inconsistent. I drove a Ghost at full speed at a guy, the center of it hit him, but only his shields were taken out so I had to turn around and shoot him until I got the kill. The same thing happens other times whether I’m going full speed with any other Ghost, Warthog, Banshee, Wasp, and Scorpion. Only a Wraith seems to do the job properly. And yet, I die from getting tapped by a slowly moving vehicle going either forward, backwards, or sideways even when I have full shields. (Shaking head.) Does anyone else have this issue, this little pet peeve?

This isn’t Halo Combat Evolved.

I find that the best splattering mechanic has to go to either Halo 3 or Halo Reach. I liked being in a Chopper and boosting at the last second to cut through an enemy vehicle. Please bring the Chopper back, 343. Maybe as a joke, if there is a moment in Halo Infinite where it’s like the ending of either Halo Combat Evolved or Halo 3, Brutes, Master Chief, Cortana, or maybe a side character like the Arbiter since it seems like we won’t be able to play as him (sad) they can say, “Get to the Chopper!”
