I’m not sure if this was the intended design or what, but Warzone quickly becomes just SMGs and BRs, and ending with nothing but DMRs(because whoever has this req is going to use it). Just watch the killfeed and you’ll see it’s pretty much 90% BR, 8% SMG, 1% Ghosts, and 1% everything else.
Is it a fault of the level system? or the guns? I think it’s just lack of choices in the loadout. I personally love the magnum much more than the BR and always have it equipped, even though I know it will struggle against a BR. As soon as I hit REQ4 you can be assured the SMG is replacing the AR, though, because that weapon has no “zone” where it shines it seems. But We really only have 2 choices for spray weapons and most people only have 2 choices for precision weapons as well, with the third being up to RNGeesus.
I think the best and probably easiest way to add some variety to the Warzone sandbox is move some “power” weapons over to the loadout. I think we can all agree that the Carbine, Suppressor, bolt shot, and Storm Rifle(maybe… this guy is pretty potent now…), and probably a few other guns don’t really belong as power weapons. They can be like the magnum and not have any special attachments, it would just add some much needed variety. It doesn’t seem like it would be a very difficult thing to the way the game is set up.
I would love suppressor as 1, bolt shot and storm rifle as req 2, carbine as 3, Light rifle at 6. It would definitely add some more variety. I don’t see it happening though.

It has a rather short effective range, but when it is in that range, it melts. beyond it’s range though is prime magnum/BR range, though. So it works out.

I agree with all of this except storm rifle if this was to happen. Storm Rifle = SMG pretty much therefore should be level 4 if it was a loadout weapon.

Good to know. I personally haven’t used the storm rifle much so didn’t know what to compare it to.

Thanks for the description. But yeah it’s destroyed me a few times I must admit, guess I’ll give it more attention. How does it compare to the storm rifle? I’ve been selling those when I get them in my req packs
