Warzone Loadout Pre-Selection Feedback/Suggestion

The only part of the Warzone (Normal, Assault, Firefight) experience for me that isn’t wonderfully smooth is the constant re-selection of your base loadout weapons. Every time you rank up, you have to take the time to sort through the dozens of variations to cherry pick your most-useful loadout for that rank, and it is really easy to fix.

343 could make a system where in your requisitions (or customization) menu section you can set up your primary loadout req for each level. This would work in that when your req level increases, your base loadout changes automatically, when you die, to the set loadout you chose for that req level. This change isn’t forced, and you can still manually chose a different loadout weapon and have it “stick” like in the current system until your next req level increase, where it would switch to the next set level. For example, if during the first portion of a warzone game I make it to req 3 before I die, I can respawn quickly knowing that it will automatically switch my magnum to a battle rifle. Obviously, each newfound loadout req card would have to be entered into the system if you want a change to the new card, but it is no more cumbersome a task than having to go change your helmet when you’ve found a better one.

Customization options could include the ability to have only certain req levels trigger a weapon change. (Have an “Unchanged” option in each slot at each level so the weapon from the preivious req rolls over, even manually set ones) Also, you could have it where it only applies (or specifically doesn’t apply) to normal mode, assault mode, or firefight. (I might run around with a magnum and a battle rifle in firefight, but want an assault rifle for normal warzone)

It’s just an idea I wanted to put out there; I don’t know if anyone else has proposed something similar but I feel it would be a nice option to bring to the warzone table.

Option 2: ability to hide un-wanted loadouts.

I only use the same few anyways.
Ex magnum, sup ar.
Sent br, pro sent br, bayonet sent…
Sup smg, pro smg, bayonet.
Sent dmr, bayonet dmr.

See, I knew I couldn’t be the only one who wanted to improve this system!

Both of those ideas sound great, especially because I’m sure everybody out there only uses a few of the dozens of choices.

I certainly agree with you. In fact, I can share a moment where a pre-selection option could have been life saving.
I once leveled up to 8 REQ and quickly found my team’s armory to switch my SMG to a bayonet attachment.
But alas, it is the last REQ card I have to scroll to. Thus, resulting in my death by assassination.
Let me tell you, I was infuriated.
