Warzone: Leaving base in lockdown.

I’m sure most of you have seen it a time or two, where one side of home base seems to take forever to clear the base lockdown so you can open the blast doors and advance into the map. I know I’ve seen it plenty.

And during that time sitting there waiting, I began to wonder… what if we never opened the doors? Left the AI alive and just chilled in the home base.

Would the enemy team, capturing all bases be able to pass through the wall still? Or would the blast door still be locked even after the shield dropped?

I would legit -Yoink!- myself laughing if a premade did this and the opposing team just had to sit and wait for the tickets to count up.

Would the AI not hunt you down and force you to fight them? Unless you just stood there and died over and over.

Which is very possible…

Would the base’s Marines keep spawning and eventually kill them?

Either way, it sounds funny but probably not very effective. The enemy would have control over all of the rest of the map and boss spawns, leading to a pretty huge VP score disparity.

I don’t think the doors open until both teams have cleared the base but I may be mistaken.

I would like to try this hahah, sounds fun. But I feel like the marines WOULD end up killing off the ai. :confused:

I really want to know what would happen now, I don’t think 343 anticipated anyone trying such a thing.

You know this how? I mean in WZA getting the garage and armory fast just means all you can assault the base with is pistols still.

And we don’t even know if the blast doors would open.

I’m down if anyone wants to get a group together and do this.

We can just leave a single crawler alive lol.

The opposing team could just kill everything outside of your base and win by points, but that would be interesting to test out for sure.

People should definitely get together and try this.

If you allow your self to die if you spawn inside the base then if you spawn outside then your blast doors stay down.
Attack the main base first so you can spawn vehicles and then attack the other bases.
Should you capture the other two bases your laughing, should you lose all the bases you will still be PMSL as your base would be still on lock down and still 100%.
Your only need gain/hold the main base and the other team will find beating you nearly impossible!

Your whole team would need to understand what to do but if it does work they’d have to add a patch to stop it ?

Yeah spread the word! Someone’s gotta try this! I had a full team of twelve last night but they were too serious about winning to want to try it :frowning:

I doubt you’d spawn outside the base if you died before the gates went down.

Either way it would be some pretty epic trolling vs the other team.

I imagine once the enemy has the 3 bases they will be able to enter your base regardless if you haven’t lifted the lockdown.
