Do you think there’s a lack os splinter grenades and plasma grenades in Warzone games?
There are two ways to use them, by picking up from enemy A.I. and with equiping the armor mod splinter grenade expert or plasma grenade expert, but you spawn just with one grenade.
In my Warzone experience I don’t see these kinds of grenades too often and I’d like to see more of them, maybe with random spawns in the maps or by increasing the number of grenades the A.I drops in the ground.
What do you think?
Plasma grenades have little purpose in Warzone other than to stick passing-by warthogs, but even that does not happen so often. Splinter Grenades on there other hand, have their effectiveness mostly against vehicles, as a tool to EMP unsuspecting tanks, wraiths, mantises, etc., and you would see players continually exploit that use…

It is a lot fun using plasma/splinter grenades in Big Team Battle. It is something I miss in Warzone.
I would not like to see additional grenades in WZ.

Why not?
Splinter grenades are quite common.
A big problem is that they have tied all of the loadouts to the REQ point system to avoid the accusation of having a COD loadout system. But this means its a lot harder to get what you want in the heat of battle and people are less likely to experiment. Also Wheelman is just too good.
I think there needs to be a way to choose which nades to load out with. I completely agree with you, you only ever see frags. You might see the occasional sticky stuck to a wraith, and maybe the occasional splinter to wall off a base, but there are too many frags. My idea is that they add another category next to loadout weapons and armour abilities, in this category you have a selection of nades. You have one frag as a loadout like an ar or magnum, at 1 req point, and to get a second one you need 2 req points. Stickies and Splinters require 3, and the second one costs 4 req points. This way, you can loadout with a sticky and a frag. This will probably need to change around, but It’s all we’ve got for the moment. I’m all open to ideas by the way.

I would like to see the fire and brute spike grenades coming back.
They could make the REQ terminals pay out grenades if you have the various perks [yes, they are perks, renaming it doesn’t change it] at a fair rate to prevent spamming. Shall we say, 2 PGs and you can’t get then again until you die or for one minute, frags at the same rate, and Splinters 2 every 2 minutes?
Or just keep it simple and have the option to swap all of your grenades for another type at a REQ station/respawn menu. That way you’re still capped at 2 grenades but you can choose to switch out all 2 of your frags for 2 Splinter or Plasma ones. It’d bring a greater variety of grenades into the playing field, but not flooding it with extra ones.

I also would like the fire bombs and spike grenades back, sadly I think they’ve been replaced by the Splinter grenade [and before it, Pulse grenade]
I think grenades should have their own slot in loadouts I think the grenade mods are out of place. But so are a lot of the mods cause they shouldn’t all be in one section.

I suggest that you can spawn two grenades at the cost of 1 REQ or even 0.5 REQ, this could encourage people to use it more often. As the same way, you can fill your frag grenade pockets at the cost of 0.5 REQ.
The last thing Warzone needs is more grenades to spam with.

Sometimes I’ll use Grenadier for early WZA, and Upgraded Thrusters, Patrol Case, or Upgraded Shields for Firefight.
But the Plasma Grenade one just kinda sits there collecting dust along with the increased melee strength and ground pound ones.
I would definitely agree with that. Having more access to plasma/splinter grenades would Balance the game mode more especially against req heavy or vehicle heavy opponents.

The grenade experts armor mod don’t worth using, since you get only one grenade. Maybe, if 343 let the players spawn with two grenades instead of one, maybe I would use it.

And grenades belongs to the Halo sandbox in the first place, they are there to be used.

For sure, definitely agree. They are very undervalued in warzone when they should be more valued. They need to be used more in warzone. And there’s more dynamic if all 3 grenades are available.
