343i needs to fix this garbage game. For Halo 5’s “Premier Casual Game Mode” it’s pretty obviously competitive as -Yoink-. Why am I, a solo queue player playing against coordinated teams of 12 that can get to my core in less than 5 minutes. Is the population really that low that you have to screw over people who don’t wanna spend the time to find a dedicated team to YOU’RE -Yoinking!- CASUAL GAME TYPE. This is why everyone has left Halo 5 and Halo as a franchise is almost dead.
Who cares is you lose. It’s warzone.
It’s like losing an action sack game.

There is truth to that, but getting spawn camped in your base for the entire game isn’t fun and can turn people off from playing the game in the future if they’re just a casual Halo fan.
There needs to be a better matching system.

Except I don’t go into action sack to get destroyed in a quarter of the time of a regular game. Keep defending 343’s -Yoink- mode and see how much more population they lose.
Wzone was so much better back in the beginning months it was extremely casual.
It’s “competitive” because people make it competitive. Just because they’re in a team doesn’t mean they are playing competitively.
Team based matching would solve a lot of problems like this.
It was the introduction of the Achilles armor that created the Warzone Farming. Before the armor was added, this kind of stuff wouldn’t happen. The community is doing it to itself. Blame the players that are doing it and not the developers. Farming is an issue and 343i does need to do something about it in the form of either party size restrictions to say 6 or add in a mercy rule to matches that forces a loss if there’s a huge gap in points or the core is auto destroyed if bases stay un contested for 5+ minutes.
But, like I said it’s not the developers fault farming has become an issue. The communities desire to put fellow players through 10+ minutes of spawn killing to get a simple piece of armor or to pad your stats that no one cares about it pathetic.
I usually play alone and don’t see how it’s unplayable.
I dont like Warzone, but its social. If u dont like getting wrecked, just quit. You’re not gonna lose anything. thats what social is. You dont have anything to lose, only stuff to gain. And i solo queue all the time in Warzone, and I never face this problem
Unplayable would be MCC level of playable, what I think you meant to say was that solo Warzone isn’t fun.
Warzone went from a nice casual mode to a Spartan Company battlefield, I do enjoy the occasional solo game but most of the time it isn’t enjoyable without backup.

If you quit, you get banned from playing WZ and the ban time is longer with each quit. I guess that’s what social means in 343’s eyes.
I’d take being cored in 5 mins over the 22-25 min crap shoots I get since the boss update
Yeah I just had 4 games in a row where the enemy team rushed my team’s closest base and my team was dumbfounded on what to do.

Exactly. People seem to think that casual means that they casually win the game every single time without trying.
This is the main flaw with peoples understanding of social gametypes. Social is literally only about not having consequence for a loss. People think that social should be a casual fest where my win ratio is going to be a perfect 50%. It’s not.

Warzone is hardly a social playlist anymore, there are so many stats to compete over: Win/Loss, KDA, KPG. And for those that don’t care about their stats, their the ones who are feeding the competitive players stats, and then come to the forums complaining about over competitive social playlists. I don’t see how you can have a true ‘social’ playlist until there’s nothing to compete over, cause people always will.

I only solo queue WZ. I lose/win 50%. That was the goal for 343i for solo players.
I play alone 90% of the time and generally have a good time unless I encounter a coordinated team which is rare
