“Those” players are here now, you know the ones, the ones who just sit back and BR all day
I mean, I don’t do it, and I get it’s annoying, but it’s a huge open map, people are bound to do it, yanno?

There’s that, and the teams that absolutely stomp you. Had 3 tanks, 2 ghosts and an assortment of Explosive SAWs and Fuel Rod Guns in our home base one whole match. Couldn’t even spawn. Absolute map control. That stuff needs to be toned back.
Warzone is nothing but pay to win junk. Same 3 maps over and over. It loses its appeal after a few matches.

It didn’t feel this way at the beginning though, people were out fighting and taking bases/enemies on.
I don’t like this game mode much, I understand why other people do but I don’t like feeling forced into playing this with the REQ system.

This sounds way too familiar. I think I was in this game, and I was one of the guys with the tank. I honestly felt so -Yoink-, pretty sure we all spawned tanks at the same time using Random Vehicle cards. We just plowed through the entire map and cornered your team by your core, wasn’t even fun

It’s really not. You need a high REQ level to obtain the power weapons/vehicles, which can only be achieved by capturing bases and killing enemies/AI/bosses. If you reach that REQ level, you deserve it. It’s not like some very poor player can buy a load a REQ packs, get the Scorpion and has a 100% chance of using it; you need to play well.
Also, there’s the REQ energy system. If you call in a high level REQ e.g. 7/8/9, your energy is depleted and you need to perform well for it to rise. Believe me, calling in a power weapon/vehicle does not guarantee you kills, I’ve been killed/boarded almost instantly many times when I have called in a Mantis.
When and if Big team battle comes back, Warzone will die a painful death…
Warzone is already boring, we need more ranked playlists that allow a fire team of 6-12 that don’t force us into this new game mode that is nobody’s favourite. Where is BTB?

This stopped being relevant when the maps were made linear, though. Seriously, Warzone needs so much map tweaking that it’s not funny. At the moment the only map that isn’t a straight shot from one end to the other is Apex 7. What I’ve noticed happening is that once you take all three bases on Arc/Stormbreak, you’ve won, plain and simple. Enemies don’t spawn behind you, leaving the entire team free to focus on the bottleneck that is the one path out of enemy home base, and what inevitably happens is they don’t even need to go for core. Do you know why? Because once a team has all three bases, they apparently earn 3 points every three seconds on top of kills and objectives, which removes the only viable tactic for defending teams getting sieged at home base - to turtle up, and pick off attackers while avoiding the tank shells firing into your spawn.
What needs to happen is they need to do a lot of fixing.
Fix bosses so that final shot isn’t automatically what earns it, prevent that one guy just sitting with the SMG or AR at the edge of the fight from being an opportunist and sniping the kill without putting even a single shot in before the boss hits that 1% health. Reward teams that actually do most of the work.
Change maps so that there isn’t only one way out of home base. Apex 7 is actually very good about this - the main entrance is plenty viable for fast vehicles since it branches off into two paths, leaving plenty of options to run from tanks if you can dodge that opening shot. Alternatively, infantry can file out from the inner island balcony to take undefended bases and bosses to turn the fight around. Arc and Stormbreak become way too easy to spawncamp on if an organized team makes a good push, basically screwing over anyone who doesn’t go in with an 8 person fireteam. Many of us don’t have that many people online at a given time, and I don’t want to feel punished for playing a game on my own, especially if my team mates aren’t willing to communicate.
Lastly, fix spawns. I cannot count the number of times I’ve told the game to spawn me in, say, Fortress on Stormbreak, and end up getting spawned in West or East Armories, often in the line of enemy fire… and, consequently, dying before I can move or react, and as luck would have it often losing a high level REQ I know how to use before I get the opportunity to do so. I’ve died more to crap spawns than I have bosses or enemy players who’ve actually defeated me by being skilled players.
I have yet to be in a Warzone game where Lvl 6 REQS were reached
Shoot them? Fire vs Fire?
Git gud?
Simple solutions.

Had a match yesterday where it threw me in a match in progress and I spawned into an enemies plasma nade.
I turned it back off.

So because people use a weapon that is in the game it makes Warzone less fun? Logic?
Warzone is awful, I can’t tolerate the REQ system or the PvE junk. Bring on big team battle and some new playlists.
I hope they add other modes where Req are used. Having only the one option to use reqs is kinda lame.
I hope they don’t rank btb when it comes out, arena is filled with a bunch of try hards and so are people in Warzone for some reason its frustrating
that was already the case at launch day. And honestly if u’re running around with an AR on those big maps, it’s your own fault.

Agreed. Kind of confused as to why they made every other gametype aside from Warzone ranked, kind of sucks the fun out of it when the people playing there want to win that badly. One of Halo 3’s main attractions was the Social playlists, and as bad as Reach’s multiplayer was they got the distinction between normal multiplayer and Arena down right.
