I was wondering if anyone had any strong opinions on if they think warzone should make an appearance in Infinite?
I personally really enjoy warzone firefight in H5 much more than I’ve ever enjoyed regular firefight on Reach and ODST as it is easy enough to play casually for like 20 minutes so there is no real pressure as there is compared to regular matchmaking which I think is nice to have between a couple of games. I don’t really have much to say on regular warzone as I have not played it much since I change accounts (so 2016ish).
If you do want warzone back what would you change and if you don’t then what would you put in its place as the almost secondary multiplayer mode (e.g. Bring back spartan ops, regular firefight, or an entirely new idea)?

Personally, I’d be fine with warzone not returning. I had some fun with it but I’d prefer they scratch it in favor of a new large scale mode. Something like the BTB 2.0 rumor that’s floating around.
big no from me. Just give me normal BTB and normal arena modes (this includes social modes). If they want to include that battlefield style BTB as well, cool. Just dont at the cost of normal BTB
Warzone is a no for me, but I actually want the weapon vairants to return, even if they don’t play a big role in the game. I definitely want them to be accessible in forge and custom games.
I actually liked Warzone. However, a hybridized version mixes with invasion would be more fun. Both sides having AI corresponding to their teams faction.
Warzone was one of the things that originally turned me away from Halo 5 at launch. PvPvE just never appealed to me and I didn’t like how much of the games monetization revolved around one particular game mode. BTB 2.0 has my attention right now as BTB has always been my go to Halo multiplayer mode, so I hope that gets the same amount of attention and resources that Warzone received.
I said it in the BTB 2.0 thread as well. Dump warzone and wazone firefight. Let this alleged BTB 2.0 take warzones place while still having the traditional BTB and finally bring back the Reach/ODST styled firefight.
Warzone without REQs would be incredible. I think if we have a “Warzone” in Halo Infinite, it should be a combination of the best parts of BTB and Warzone. Give me massive teams on massive maps, but with the simplicity and sandbox of BTB, maybe with some new modes and PvPvE. I personally loved Warzone and the monetization didn’t bother me because at the end of the day, it was optional and only offered benefit if whoever used the REQ was skilled enough to not die. BTB has held some of my all-time favorite Halo matches. I think a massive-scale BTB/Warzone mode is the way to go. Not so keen on the Banished Invasion thing that people seem excited about. Playing as a Brute just seems…wack.

I enjoyed Warzone and Firefight in Halo 5.
That said, they’d need to address a lot of issues (farming, griefing, lopsided matchmaking, etc.) before including them in Infinite. I’d also like the ability to forge, adjust settings and play custom games.

Don’'t really care if Warzone doesn’t make it, would love to see what they come up with the new gamemode.
I highly doubt warzone is returning. It’s tied to the Requisition system which wasn’t well recieved amongst fans. Plus word has it there might be some updated gametype revolving around the big team gametype so they might be phasing out Warzone altogether. I wouldn’t mind it returning because it wasn’t all bad, it did have its moments now and again but I definitely wouldn’t miss it if it doesn’t return.

if warzone is in infinte pc player should be able to play it
invasion 2.0 or whatever the btb 2.0 is would be better. invasion was kind of a mashup of several things and the novelty of it wore off fast most likely due to how limited that old bungie engine was. I want to see 343 explode with a unique new take on invasaion rather than bringing back invsaion.
I have enjoyed both Firefight and Warzone, mainly skill-building. I feel like Infinite won’t involve Warzone unless it’s like a Spartan Ops version. I mean this is an open-world game. Like Skyrim…but WAY BETTER and dearer to heart. Halo Infinite is an OPEN WORLD. So I’m expecting to have my ‘firefights’ be more real where Chief will be saving marines and ODST of Zeta halo. There are most like to be a bunch of mini-missions. You could go and finish the campaign story, save marines who are stranded and under heavy attack, assault a Banished stonghold, Etc. I could literally just use arena and firefight names and they would still be the same but in a much bigger, more exciting space. We’re encouraged to explore, to find new things out. In the recent article, January 2021, they also mention we’ll get swamps that ghost can float over with their gravity, Warthogs that can traverse over rock and fallen trees, and banchies that, as we all know, can fly over chasms…chasms likely pop marked with caves to explore!!!
I am expecting to still see some cool weapons. Linda’s sniper will likely be there…but if you read the December article you’ll know we will be getting armor coating, so it’s likely not only will we get Linda’s sniper rifle coating, but a unique coating that goes with the rilfe.
I’m just SO EXCITED for Halo Infinite that I can’t wait…well I can. Only because I know if I wait longer, it will be better and I’d rather wait longer and get a better halo game, then to keep getting bad halo games.

I’d like to see Warzone Assault return in some capacity. Asymmetrical attack/defend gamemodes are so much fun and what I cut my teeth on in the early 00’s of online gaming. I know it was 5’s least popular gamemode, but I know it has the potential to be one of the best experiences the game can give.
