Warzone is okay, but it needs some changes to really feel like a good spin on BTB to me.

Remove the matchmaking ban rules for Warzone. It makes sense in Arena, where there is no join in progress, but Warzone has JiP. Also, consider the fact that Warzone is supposed to be their Social alternative to Arena. If I recall correctly, none of the previous Social playlists in Halo games had bans in effect.

More maps. This is the first thing that needs to be addressed. Arena has plenty of maps, those can wait for DLC. What is in major need of DLC content is Warzone. These maps stopped being fresh and exciting 2-3 days after the game came out.

More viable strategies. This is a huge problem. Before the game came out, we were led to believe that you could play Warzone however you wanted, and still contribute. Run around and kill players? Yep, you’d be a big help. Not in the final release. Killing players nets you a measly 1 point. The ONLY viable strategy is to capture the 3rd base in the center of the map. Actually, that’s not even a strategy. That’s just common sense. Hold the 3rd base and you pretty much have the entire game, as your team will be in a better position to kill Bosses thanks to better REQs. Either take the bases and be in a better position to kill bosses, or just lose. That’s the only strategy available to you.

Spawns. Honestly, this is an issue with the game in general, not exactly specific to Warzone. I’m not saying it’s on a Battlefront tier of bad spawns, but if you play FFA or SWAT, you know exactly how bad it can be. I’ve spawned in front of an enemy Ghost not once, but TWICE, just to be splattered from behind.
