The home bases in the Warzone maps are atrocious. They only have two entrances and they are easily camped by the other team should they manage to capture all of the lesser bases. This is especially true of March on Stormbreak and Escape from A.R.C. The team that loses all bases becomes easily pinned down by the other team as the two armories are basically situated at BOTH entrances to the home base, making it easy for the controlling team to mass spawn at the armory and camp the entrance and easily farm kills. There is no chance for the other team to make a comeback or capture another base, especially when they have 3 or 4 tanks and several snipers camping the entrances to their home base picking off anyone who even attempts to leave the fortress. The only map that seems to have any semblance of balance is Raid on Apex 7. The home bases on that map are better because they have a third way out through the pillbox in the sides of the mountains. This is good because it allows the other team an escape route should they need one out of the base if the other team has decided to set up camp at the main entrances. Another good aspect of Apex 7 is that the armories do not sit right out side the entrance to the base. The teams must go around the mountains their home bases are in to reach their respective armories. It’s a very symmetrical map that leaves a lot of room to maneuver and get out of tight spots.
The same principal should be applied to the home bases on March on Stormbreak and Escape from A.R.C. Escape routes should be added into each base that leads out so the team that happens to be pinned down can get out and make an attempt on another sub base and reestablish their home base defenses and doesn’t make it so easy for the opposing team to control the map. Instead of just camping the two main entrances they will have to watch the third entrance as well. To maintain balance and make sure these escape routes are not easy routes into the bases, they will have permanent shield walls over them preventing the other team from coming through even if the other base defenses are down.
For March on Stormbreak, the home base escape routes could lead to the Ice Cavern or down into the small loading docks next to each armory. However, I would rather see it them come out more towards the Ice Cavern as that area is seldom watched by a team camping the armory and gives the pinned down team a chance to sneak by and get to another sub base in a vehicle.
For Escape from ARC, the escape routes could go under ground and come out in the main area near the Garage or the Grotto and Crane Pits, past the armories.
I believe in the future this must be taken into account for all Warzone maps. Noctus is pretty balanced but it too could use an escape route in each base.
Not really. I’ve been on a pinned down team and had teammates try to sneak out the front with invisibility on and they usually get picked off by snipers or tanks. Even then, the invisibility doesn’t last long enough for anyone to get to another base. It usually wears out half way there and the other team spots them pretty quickly.
So basically we need Bungie to come back and fix the game balance that 343 has proven so incapable of handling without update after update, tweak after tweak, hoping and praying that they can nail down some semblance of balance out of pure luck.
Remember back when the weaponry had a clear paper-rock-scissors application (e.g. a needler would trump a sniper)? When large maps had open AND secluded paths to reach your destination? I miss it.

Basically, there will always be people who complain and never ever gets satisfied.

I can’t tell whether you’re (1) saying that I’m complaining for the sake of complaining, or (2) agreeing that 343 is incapable of balancing this game to satisfy the players.
Except it doesn’t, most people can see through that. Can’t expect the entire team to be invisible too but regardless it won’t matter as soon as anyone starts running…it becomes useless.
The worst part of Warzone is the spawns because of the poor design in the Garages where they have appalling spawns for the vehicles where they can easily be destroyed as soon as they come out of their spawn zone due to the unavoidable instant hijack, which makes it impossible to avoid if using a vehicle like a tank.

All you have to do is get out the door and go to the opposite side of the map and cap that base, takes 17 seconds to cap it.

Too true. Not only is such layouts, it is required for balanced MP maps.

Remember when Bungie released a game called Halo Reach? Then followed it up with a game called Destiny? No more Bungie. You want them to play Destiny.

He’s sayin you’re a whiny -Yoink-. Which makes sense, cause you are. Get back to Destiny, where you’re welcome to suck off bungie all you want.
The bases are fine. It all plays into strategy. What you need is to find a good team. If you adopt get stuff done on your own your win rate should go up. I dont rely on other players to know what their doing so I do everything I can to make sure I’m earning my team as many points as I can. Also, being aware when bases are being taken I’ll break off and try to rescue said bases. Send me a message sometime and we can hook up on Warzone.

Not much strategy goes into pinning down and just camping people trapped inside their home base. They need to keep the map fluid and allowing a team to get held hostage like that kills the flow. The bases need to be redesigned with escape routes in mind.

It’s the losing teams lack of strategy that gets them pinned down in the first place though, so it just shows that the better team wins. Yeah it sucks but there are 3 bases and all you have to do is make sure you are always controlling one and aware when it is being attacked and defend it.
That at being said, I wouldn’t mind some more escape routes. Raid does this pretty perfectly.

Yeah cause theyve done so well with Destiny. Stop asking for Bungie they are not the Bungie from 2007 anymore havent been for years. Easily one of the dumbest things people keep saying.

I’ve noticed more and more that Warzone is boiling down to just bum rushing as many bases as fast as you can and trapping the other team at their armory or home base. The bases need more ways in and more areas for the controlling team to cover.
