i got this game when it came out excited to play warzone. i like what it had to offer and it seemed like a fun new mode to try out. the req system seemed interesting and i like the combination of objective and slayer…until now. this game mode has become nothing but frustration and a near constant loss. i don’t know how the teams are chosen what sort of balancing there is to be had but whatever it is it always seems the objective minded good players are on one team and all the morons on the other. my last 20 games resulted in 4 wins…just 4. and my first win came after a 10 game losing streak and it always follows the same pattern: both armories taken, enemy takes middle area, enemy somehow kills every boss, crushing loss…it’s always this formula. the only wins i’ve gotten was when my team was mindful of our armory and diligent when it came to 150pt bosses. those games we still never captured or held the middle area, something the team i always face is amazing at accomplishing by the way, but we hit the bosses and squeaked out with a win. only one game was a win by destroying the core which in the last 20 games i’ve had 4 losses due to that. this never seems to change for me and you’d think by pure accident i might end up on the team with top tier sniperpromlg420 teams but i always seem to be stacked against them.
this can’t be just me…how does the matchmaking system work here? i’ve never had so many constant losses in any game i’ve ever played before. i just dont’ have any explanation here and this is making me not want to play this game. i don’t have fun when i’m constantly losing i don’t have fun when i’m seriously outmatched in every game i play. i don’t see a point getting beaten up all the time.
I think this is why alot of other players and myself want a warzone/firefight variant so we can still level up and use reqs but have a good shootout along side co-op humans against tough ai enemys
i’ve said for a while now that the scoring of the 150 point bosses needs to be tweaked. Either reduce them to 100 points and give their lieutenants 25 points each (If the big bosses have two sidekicks that spawn with them) Or i give the marjority of the points to the team that does the most damage while still rewarding the other team with at least some. Like 100 to the team with the most damage and 50 to the other team if the do at least 25 % damage. OR something along those lines. The thing is, This gametype will always suffer because Halo players have a bad reputation of not playing the objective. I’ve lost count of the Objectives games that I played where one team completely ignores the objective. Sounds like that is what you have been experiencing.
i dunno if it’s ignoring objectives or what but it’s horribly mismatched teams. by the end of the game half my team quit and is replaced or just plain bad and the enemy team has multiple people with 20 kills and up apiece.
i greatly miss firefight and to some extent i miss spartan ops because of the co op element. like i said my main gripe is that everyone i’m against is on the ball and my team just can never get it together. it’s ridiculous that i’ve only achieved four wins in twenty games. 10 of those loses were in a row. i’m amazed at how bad this matchmaking system seems to be.
It has likely stopped being fun because you have played three entire days of the mode in under a month. (I checked your Service Record)
I understand the one-sided bit at times, but most of my games are well-balanced and fun. I primarily have played Warzone Assault, and it seems to be the best bang for your buck in this game in terms of a solid 50-50 win rate.
I only enjoy Warzone Assault because of the boss last kill debate in regular Warzone. I have fun playing Warzone Assault but the lack of maps makes it boring. Thank goodness they finally added BTB.
Warzone does need some tweaking. I see too many teams get steam rolled while playing it. The boss mechanics need to reward points based on damage dealt because its not really fair when the enemy team steals all the points with a lucky BR shot from across the map.

well yea…as i said…i enjoy it. i find slayer kill fest modes boring. i like things to do i like objectives. i play conquest on battlefield because i enjoy that kind of thing and warzone interested me because it wasn’t straight up slayer. i also really liked invasion in reach. some people always play swat…some always play free for all…some always play slayer. i like warzone…sue me…
i was also pretty clear as to why it’s stopped being fun…it has nothing to do with my like of the mode.
Uh, warzone has to start being fun before it can stop being fun FYI.
MOBA elements have no place in halo. None. They just injected this crap in because MOBAs were the talk of the town at the time of development and it was a way for them to shoehorn their microtransaction system in.
Do you really enjoy doing all the damage to an AI boss and then an enemy comes in and puts the last shot into the guy and gets all the points? There are no close matches, the games always end in a landslide based on who races to claim the middle first, and when you feel like your team is doing great you look down at the scoreboard and your losing faster and faster. I gave this game a week before I dropped it.
Arc is pretty unbalanced because the armories are so close together, if the majority of one team rushes the other’s armory right away it’s game over.
The first 150 boss on Stormbreak is too weak, something like three splinter grenades insta-kills him and half your team can easily pick up one each in your home base and armory. Maybe make the Banshee boss appear earlier and bring in a Phaeton boss later.
All of the maps need more AI enemies to deal with, it’d be fun to see a bunch of small AI enemies on Arc in the open ground between armories to prevent a near instant three-base capture by one team.

Im sure you noticed by now that many times it carries the same teams over. Ive had streaks like you where I would win one out of ten. It would be frustrating.
What I do is just leave after the match and leave matchmaking and then search again. It seems to out fix these streaks for me.
I’d like to see more bosses on each map. So the bases don’t carry as much weight. That would lessen the need to get the middle base. A lot of games turn into 20min battles for the middle base.
I’ve won 2 out of 25 games right now and it isn’t even my fault. I kill a good amount of the bosses and even the ones that are 150vp and my team just gives up the lead or they let the other team get all the bases. One game my team had 900 vs 300 to another team and they got all the bases and destroyed our core. I just can’t catch a break.
