Warzone Firefight???

Anyone hear if they’re considering putting in Warzone FF? I hope they do cuz I love it! I just hope they don’t add that bs respawn timer. Cuz I hate on Round 5 you gotta wait 30+ seconds. And give your items more time so it don’t despawn so quickly (ie weapons and vehicles)

Nobody knows anything about any aspect of Halo Infinite multiplayer, or the campaign for that matter.

We’re completely in the dark as official communication has been effectively non-existent.

A game mode like Warzone FF would be a logical expansion from previous titles and I’m sure 343i has at least considered it.

TruthFromReason is right to say that we don’t know much at all outright at this time.

Personally, I think Warzone Firefight is frantic and over the top. It’s fun, but it doesn’t really resemble the mode it’s named after. If I had to choose between getting WZFF back or the traditional Firefight mode we’ve been lacking since Halo: Reach, I’d personally go for the traditional mode. Arcade FF was a lot of fun in matchmaking for Reach (as a lot of folks are rediscovering with MCC, now), and that’s more similar to WZFF. I just want the option to play Firefight alone or with local co-op with custom settings like “the good old days”. I still can’t comprehend why 343i ever decided to move away from it with Spartan Ops in Halo 4.

I think WZFF is far more superior than Reach FF. There’s more to do and have bigger maps. Just not a wide selection of maps

I rather have a more classic FF experience than WZFF. WZFF never did it for me. It lost all the sense of survival and resource management that classic FF had, in favor of moving fast and using REQs.

I’m gonna have to stop you right there. That’s gonna be a no for me on warzone firefight. I just want regular old firefight from ODST and reach

Personally I liked WZFF but I know a lot of people weren’t fans of it (understandably so)-- it certainly was a radical change from previous iterations of Firefight. The five-round limit felt weird to me considering FF in previous games was basically endless waves until you die. If they put WZFF into Infinite I would like to see more rounds (preferably unlimited rounds until all players run out of lives/enemies capture the objective/whatever other mechanics they choose) and a slower req point recharge rate. I think the mode should challenge you to be smart with your points and really conserve them whereas in 5 you can basically call in any vehicle/gun you want after round 3 given you get a decent amount of kills with it.

Boss battles also were just annoying most of the time, instead of a bunch of bullet sponge Warden Eternals and Knights they should just go back to wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies. That’s what firefight is all about.

Let’s be honest. They can put in both.

If they do, I hope they rework it a lot before we get our hands on it. I mean, it was fine in concept, but after a few years of playing it I can honestly say that there are so many things that just frustrate me. For one how short it is (or at least seems). Firefight used to be 3 rounds with 5 waves in each round, now it’s just 5 rounds. It also heavily favors people who have either paid a butt load for Req packs or just have played way too much (not that that’s a bad thing). You see all these people rushing in with top tier Req’s while some newer players only have starting equipment. Meaning that the people who played/paid the most will be in the top 3 at least 9 times out of 10 and I think the top 3 get extra experience, right?

Of course another thing that frustrated me was the ever increasing death timer per round. That doesn’t make it harder, that makes it more annoying, especially when you die to something dumb and not only does it take 30 seconds to spawn back in on round 5, but it spawns you on the opposite side of the map from the current objective meaning you likely won’t get back in time to help your allies unless you have a vehicle, and you also probably lost a high value weapon, ability, or vehicle.

I want a more Reach feel to it if they do bring it into Infinite, that’s all I really want.

They could, but they’d have to consider both the merits of devoting time to two different multiplayer PvE experiences, splitting the population amongst those playlists and potentially making matchmaking worse for both. Besides, WZFF needs the REQ system to function. WIthout REQs, WZFF would not be worth playing; imagine trying to complete it without calling in high level weapons and vehicles. 343 has already said that paid lootboxes will not be in Infinite, which means the REQ system as it is will not be in Infinite. There could still be REQ variants obtained in the form of non-paid lootboxes, but I doubt 343 would put a lot of time into a system like this that wasn’t monetized. And the randomness of the REQ system is what gave it a modicum of being fair. Looking at these points together, I just don’t see WZFF returning without paid lootboxes to support it.

I would like for 343 to take the mass effect 3 approach with there horde mode it gave the players alot of choices and it made things difficult and fun.
