Warzone Firefight

How do you guys feel about the firefight beta

There’s some fine tuning to be done. I’d like it if reqs unlocked a little quicker, and I’d love it if I could play solo. But all in all I’d call it a success.

And if you got 3000 points for winning he game.

It’s a little easy. I would like to see a vehicle limit of 4. We were literally tripping on each other trying to slaughter the Warden lol.

How to req bosses in firefight. Get a hannibal scorpian and destroy everything except Warden.

The 3 wardens are a challenge for randoms. No one seems to focus 1 at a time.

Its pretty good but its not what I wanted in the end. I wanted survival. Not objectives haha

it needs to be harder and longer ( no pun intended). I never got that ‘hold the line, we’re being overrun’ feel from ODST’s firefight.

Ya, i kinda liked the ‘you can’t beat it’ part of survival, but i get why they made it short, and its about warzone timed.

From the people i’ve talked to on here, online, and on some twitch chats i’ve decided this.

  1. It’s the BETA. The 5 rounds is just the test. It’s either going to go on and be damn near endless, or have a lot of rounds to make it worth your time. I don’t see the 5 rounds being the way it ends up.

  2. Objectives: The objectives are something new they wanted to test, thus the BETA. I think the closest to feeling like ODST days were defend the garage but the enemies spawn there and need to spawn outside. Going with my first point I believe that the full version will include either survival stand alone modes, or have survival for a time limit mixed in with the objectives and use the objectives to move you around the maps.

  3. Time limits: I think they were just testing for a reaction for a time limit. They can still switch it back to x many lives per round and even put in the revive mechanic from the story mode in the full version. Going with #2 above I think some rounds will be timed as to survive for that time and some rounds like “Kill 100 grunts” will be timed to make it harder vs just turning enemy AI damage up.

  4. I think it’s still fun like it is, just needs some altering with a few things but that’s why it’s a test run. People look down on it because it isn’t the traditional firefight but stand alone if you’ve never played firefight before it’s a blast.

  5. Longer games: Going back to above, I don’t see why they wouldn’t do longer games especially when you think about getting to the harder levels how many REQ’s you’ll burn through. Not saying i’d like weapon drops in the game but a firefight fiesta mode would be fun where you spawn with random stuff or throw down random REQ weapons so you don’t know what youre getting. Kind of hints at COD and the magic box though, so idk if it will go over well.

It’s just not Firefight. It’s Warzone, without the PvP. Just call it Warzone PvE and let Firefight stay the best game mode ever.

It needs to be longer for this amount of req, it’s already way over a full length Warzone games worth of req.

I wish we could solo it, otherwise I think it’s great. I had a lot of fun. A bit more casual than classic FF, but the fact that it’s not too difficult to lose a match of WZFF kinda makes up for it.
A pleasant way to grind for reqs if you feel like kicking back and chilling.

This is going to be the main gripe of the game mode as it stands right now… personally, I like the change-up, but think they need to make it harder.
