Warzone Firefight

Warzone Firefight is way too difficult.
But everyone already knows that, it’s why it’s difficult what we need to address.

First of all the response times are ridiculous paired with the difficulty of the enemies. The respawn times would be justified if it wasn’t so easy to die.

I think the req points system needs looked at aswell, I don’t know what actions grant req points or how to go about gaining more to level up but I am finding it extremely hard to level up to get better weapons so that I’m actually able to defeat the enemies a little easier. Although I do think the regeneration of the req levels is the perfect speed, not too fast or too slow.

I think the enemies are hard to defeat because their sheilds are too powerful, once the sheilds are down they are easy to kill.

The boss rounds and the objectives are fun to try and complete and they give you something to strive to beat, however some of the bosses are overpowered e.g. the massive grunt mech boss’s needle attack where it fires a barrage of red needler needles from its back which seek you and can curve around obstacles to get you and kill you instantly.

Overall I think warzone Firefight is a fun mode to play and I prefer it to the other warzone game types although it can be very frustrating (I usually only play arena game modes). However it does need tweaked and some aspects of it need nerfed to make it a more enjoyable experience.

A response or discussion would be much appreciated on this topic as I do enjoy playing this game mode and would like to play it when it has been perfected.

Everyone does not know that WZFF is too hard. Me for example. I think it’s too easy.
And if you think the enemies are too hard go play campaign on legendary difficulty because that’s what they are set at so it’s not a walkover for 8 people

Did you ever try campaign matchmaking in Reach? Everyone would just vote for normal difficulty, turning what would be a fun mode into a painfully easy run. Not to mention picking Arcade firefight over limited firefight.

Point is, this is the kind of experience everyone seems to be asking for. Though they “speak” for “everyone,” I would actually quit playing firefight if 343 goes and makes it easy.

Well the solution to this is clearly to add different difficulty levels in so if you want to play on legendary then you can select that and play with other people who also want to play on legendary difficulty and the same goes if you want to play on normal difficulty.

all i ask for is that they make the ai less aim botty (because those -Yoinks!- never miss) and maybe take away bullet magnetism because if been in a wasp and watch a bullet curve about 45 degrees to hit me which is rediculous. but overall the game mode is kind of easy until you get to bosses which are bullet sponges and that’s fine to me just when you want us to fight 8 bullet sponges in 3 minutes is a problem but this could also be due to the fact no one ever uses reqs for some reason.

I love how difficult the enemies are. 343 was just lazy (as usual) about play testing and balancing certain rounds. Some are very easy & some are unreasonably hard. This is typical for 343 from what I’ve seen.

Overall, the mode has potential.

That would be a lot of playlists for the same thing. Seems unnecessary.

I don’t see how “gitting gud” would apply to a situation like this.

Fact is, the mode is broken, and that’s where the ‘intense difficulty’ comes from. It’s not fun. It’s not challenging. It’s frustrating. It’s unfair. And it’s not Halo.

Any REQs should be viable in this mode, but the only ones that really are explosives and air vehicles.

I dunno. Aside from a few rounds that are obvious difficulty spikes I think the mode is challenging in a great way.

I dont think the difficulty needs changing, what needs changing is some other nuances that to you makes it look like it’s the difficulty setting that is the problem, it’s not! Respawn timer, location where you spawn, location of boss spawns, delay spawn between legendary boss to mythic ones, duration of the rounds, random difficulty between rounds (that affects your req level and play status in that moment), all of that needs tuning…

I’ve played legendary solo on campaign. Easy.

Try playing FF with barely any power weapons/vehicles. I’ll guarantee you you won’t dare to say it’s easy. I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember love higher difficulties but this is just absurdly stupid on their part.

Yup. This game mode is on the harder side of challenging and is extremely punishing to the lone wolf player. You have to want to win, you have to be willing to call in every req in order to win, and you have to be a team player. Period. Personally I hate it, but I have to acknowledge that it is perfectly in keeping with the rest of the game. I’d hoped FF would be the break from the multiplayer grind, but no. It’s an even harder grind. I never thought I’d see the day where I prefer a PvP game type to its PvE counterpart, but at this point I think it’s safe to say that a Warzone match is less punishing than a WZFF match. That just shouldn’t be the case but it is.

i just hate the fact they put knights and hunters in round 2 when everyone still has ar or pistol its stupid

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, NERF OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ROUND 3 WARDEN ETERNAL FIGHT ON APEX 7 I AM SO GD TIRED OF WASTING REQ’S AND NEVER GETTING PAST ROUND 3. THE MOMENT THAT LEVEL STARTS I JUST WANT TO DROP OUT.

TAKE THEM OUT OF THAT NOOK, LOSE LIKE 50% OF THE KNIGHTS, OR PUT IT OFF UNTIL ROUND 4 WHEN I HAVE SOMETHING THAT CAN ACTUALLY TOUCH THEM
