So warzone firefight is totally awesome and everything. But am I the only one feeling that some people are just plain inexperienced when jumping into it? Yeah I know, i should be playing with a party etc etc. But for the life of me I can’t understand how some people can be just terrible at it. I’m not trying to put myself on a pedestal or anything. But I’ve always noticed that people in firefight don’t do the normal things like, picking up plasma pistols to deal with elites. Using assault rifles for Jackal’s and grunts, when all it takes it 2 shots for a Jackal and 1 for a grunt.
In my honest opinion, I think it should be a requirement to beat the Campaign on legendary before jumping into firefight, simply because you can’t do any of the things you can do in firefight in a legendary campaign. You have to be smart about taking out enemies. Popping heads one by one. Noob Combo, using the right weapons. Maybe it’s just me, but I think we’d see a lot more firefight victories if people new to the game actually knew what they were doing.
I’m not saying you’re all bad and need to “git gud”. But you need to learn how to use everything to your advantage. I’m really not here to put down anyone, but if you’re going to jump into a game for the first time maybe a little bit of experience would help.
Acknowledging the fact that you said you weren’t gonna put yourself on a high pedestal, someone paid money for their copy of the game, so I see that they can play however which way they decide.

I understand that, but would it hurt? it would give players a reason to finish the campaign and actually get better at the game. There’s too much inexperienced players joining and playing modes that they effectively have either tried and quit or never attempted legendary campaign run.
Inexperienced or not they are part of the community in Halo 5 and they have every right to play all of Halo 5. Not every skilled player has necessarily completed on Legendary. The only solution is finding people to play with as you’ve mentioned yourself above. We were all inexperienced at one point of time:)

Not everybody has the time to find people to play with. Yes we were all inexperienced. However why not reward the people who have the experience? Give us better options to have more enjoyable experiences. The majority that do well in firefight are people that have actually beat the campaigns on legendary, and that simply comes down to the fact that, the people who have, know how to deal with each and every enemy properly. Running at forerunner soldiers with AR’s is pointless. Killing Knights while Watchers are still alive is also pointless. Shooting a Jackal’s shield until it breaks is pointless. See what i’m getting at? There’s just a lot of things people should learn.
Having something like this wouldn’t be a bad thing either. Plenty of games have extra modes locked until certain things are completed. It’s simply frustrating when you get someone on your team who does basically nothing, and contributes little to actually winning the match.
It’s luck of the draw, man. Some people you play with have never even touched campaign, much less legendary. Alot of people for some reason buy games strictly for multiplayer (why they do that is beyond me). But it’s basically the same as getting low level teammates that don’t have any REQs. They won’t be effective in later rounds, and generally since they don’t have a large REQ stash, they won’t be inclined to use them, which can lead to some frustrating losses (You know those guys that have 10 kills after 5 rounds). So, you just have to take the good with the bad, there’s nothing you can really do about players like this, they paid for the game same as the rest of us and they have the right to play the gamemodes they like, even if they aren’t effective teammates, it’s just the way it is.
You know what they say, there is only one way to learn, that’s the hard eay
Here’s one tip. by round Five, you should no longer be using Loadout weapons. I’ve seen it. No amount of DMR ammo is gonna drop a MYTHIC WARDEN in THREE MINS !!!
Best to role in there with a squad than. Otherwise that’s the downfall of matching randoms. I must say though, I’ve completed all the WZFF commendations. That includes victories, never ran with a party once. Just have to grind.

Try checking out HaloLFG and you might find some players to play with. That’s what I do occasionally for Warzone based games. My point is doing the legendary campaign is not the only way + it’s extremely time consuming. Personally I haven’t completed the campaign on Legendary and am still pretty decent while playing(That’swhat I feel:D) . My point is that there are other ways other than Legendary campaign that give you experience. Plenty of of other games may have other game modes locked but such a huge one as Warzone firefight? Restricting such a huge game mode to a few will further reduce the number game modes available. Lastly, having experience is not necessarily good especially when you don’t have necessary Warzone REQs. You may know that Warden’s weakspot is behind his back but without the good REQs, shooting him at the back with a dmr is useless.
People had to put up with us at some point. Now it’s our turn to put up with the new generation.
