So after lurking the fourms for some time now. I have seen some people say that warzone is just btb with bots. Now if that’s you’re opinion, that’s cool. But then some people turn around and say that firefight is legendary and without it halo has pve no replayability. But I ask the question, how does a mode with maps ripped from the campaign with enemies also from the campaign add replayability. I just don’t get why people would rather have the same horde mode…err firefight… mode over a big new multiplayer mode with massive battles and such. Just my 2 cents
When you play FF it’s just a fun survival mode. Then when I see Warzone, it’s really just a bigger, more expanded on BTB. I would be ok with it if we could forge on it or adjust the settings. But, since we can’t, Warzone doesn’t seem all that great to me.

Key words highlighted. Remember in ODST or Reach when you didn’t want to play online? You had campaign and Firefight and for Reach a crapton of community made stuff. In Halo 5, all we know about is campaign. Not saying it’s bad, but do you really play campaign to see how long you could last against AI? I’m not saying Warzone is bad, but they atleast should have let it be forge-able.

I agree with ya
I liked firefight but I could only play it so much
It felt the same over and over
I don’t understand how people play(ed) that daily for hours
I get tired of it.
Warzone sounds great to me.
It has the best of both worlds!
If warzone is as good as it looks than that will be the gamemode I play for hours and hours daily.

Some people just really like certain modes. I know people that get bored of arena very easy, depends what they are into or what excites them. I mean I liked firefight and am very sad that it’s not part of halo 5, I do love my survival PvE modes but that’s not all I played. I like to dabble in all modes and gametypes. I want to experience all Halo has to offer every time a new one comes out because I paid $80 (-Yoinking!- Canada) and I am not paying that for just to experience half the game.
would be awesome if warzone could be played offline agains’t bots, like an skirmish mode since of the lack of split-screen atleast we could enjoy ourselfs without any lag or team killers lol (halo ai is the best team killer)
To the OP. Why can’t we just have both ? That’s more content for Halo 5. More replay value. Higher population.
No, but you and some of the other 343 fanboys don’t realize this. Why would you not want firefight ? It can only make Halo a better game. Stop sticking up for developers and get real.

Jesus lol. They probably didn’t have time to put it in. It was probably warzone or pve. THey decided to put in warzone. Chill

Sorry for not putting this in the other post. But yeah I agree. I just want something new, but apparently I’m a 343 fanboy for that

Some people like myself simply enjoyed fire fight. Not to mention it was an offline feature, one that was quick and easy to access. Could change the mechanics and make you invincible, make it ridiculously hard, or just muck around. With the lack of splitscreen I suppose that has almost destroyed why some people played firefight. But Warzone is very much a mix of that with BTB for online only.
Might seem different to some but for me they are completely different. I still play it even today, play Spartan ops on Halo 4, forge, there are so many features I’d almost wish that they would include all. It would appease so many players to have such a well rounded game. Halo 5 looks like it will be great but has really neglected the offline community a lot with this instalment, especially those wanting firefight of course.
Warzone is PvP not PvE, just because there are enemy players on the field, I’m sure I’ll love it but it is PvP and we’re missing on PvE:
We really love firefight because we like to kill unlimited waves of covies, it’s fun and it can be challenging or relaxing, why? because of the customization! I always played it locally with custom loadouts, nothing overpowered (I hated the matchmaking playlist) and on legendary it was challenging, on heroic it was relaxing! It was always the right choice when I didn’t want to play multiplayer and didn’t want to replay again Campaign. I hope 343 will add it in Halo 5 as a post-lanch DLC!
Firefight would definetly add variety to Halo 5, Warzone is really ambitious and awesome, but it is different, so it can’t replace Firefight.

I personally don’t find a horde mode worthy of dev time. The campaign has way more variety for pve.

Dude, playing Campaign is like watching a movie, if you watch it 2 hundred times your experience will not be good as the first or the second time you watched it, in Halo Reach we had 3 modes, Campaign, Firefight and Multiplayer, in Halo 5 we have just Campaign and Multiplayer (yes, Warzone is not arena but is still PvP online multiplayer and can’t replace Firefight.) Actually, me and other fans here are asking for Firefight to be a post-launch DLC so that they can focus on what they’re doing right now, I don’t see why anybody should go against this, the only two options you could chosse are: 1) I don’t care, but it would be cool if they add it for people who want it or 2) I agree and want Firefight as a post-launch DLC.
And also: a Campaign level gets to an end at some point, so I can’t see how much I can resist against growing enemies waves, it is totally different as PvE experience.
Halo 4 did remove Firefight in the first place, and it is the last real Halo game that came out, so I don’t want also Halo 5 to lack of something, I don’t want Halo 5 to lack of a choice like Halo 4.
Spartan Ops had an horrendous implementation:
- 343 must have made one mission per each map (can’t UNSC hold position???)
- radio comms must not have been idiotic like: “press that button let’s see what happen”
- SO mustn’t have featured respawns but chekpoints exactly as campaign! (unlimited respawns kill tension and make possible to create unbalanced levels)
- SO must have been balanced according to the number of players in it
- Artillery doesn’t shoot shorter than 300 meters! (there was a level featuring “artillery cannons” that shot between 3 and 30 metres -.-)

More Warzone maps would add less variety than another different game mode.

there is a lot that can be added in Firefight:
- Pelicans bringing in Marines
- odsts dropping from the sky
- boss waves with big things like scarabs
- longsword strafing runs
- prometheans
- the flood
just some ideas, and I think thise would definetly add more variety than more Warzone maps.

NO. I was talking abut SO because it was the replacement for Firefight in Halo 4 - and it was horrendous - because I thoght you would have said that Halo 4 had a good PvE althought it missed of Firefight (yeah, I didn’t really explain well myself there, sorry) And, since Wazone is yet defined - and I think it yet has more than 4 maps - the only thing they can do for it is making new maps, I also think there are yet multiple Warzone modes that 343 hasn’t showed that will be enough for it (if it is not like that, I don’t think it would be so difficult to create new Warzone modes, they could still work on that alongside with Firefight!)
Firefight 3.0 would add variety in this way:
- Pelicans bringing in Marines
- odsts dropping from the sky
- boss waves with big things like scarabs
- longsword strafing runs
- prometheans
- the flood
just some ideas, and I think these would definetly add more variety than more Warzone maps.

I believe there’s 6 maps. Plus an invasion game varient. 12 v 12 invasion sounds a lot more fin then another firefight mode

> No, but you and some of the other 343 fanboys don’t realize this. Why would you not want firefight ? It can only make Halo a better game. Stop sticking up for developers and get real.
