why do i feel like the old halo odst game multiplayer used to be funner than halo 5 warzone firefight. werent they like the same style? I think its the brutes i miss jumping out of the dropships. brutes should be included in warzone firefights in halo 5.
Warzone Firefight may have been inspired by Firefight, but it is a totally different gametype. It’s not just the absence of Brutes. Firefight was all about surviving endless waves of progressively more difficult enemies for as long as possible. WZFF is about completing objectives as fast as possible. An inherent difference is that in original Firefight, you were being hunted, while in WZFF, you are the one hunting. Warzone Firefight is more Warzone than Firefight, as I expected it would be.
I see both points. Firefight as it was in Halo 3: ODST was a load of fun, but at the same time, as Chimera says, it’s a different gametype. I do wish they also had an ODST version of FF in Halo 5, however, as the wave defense was loads of fun, especially when working towards the Vidmaster: Endure bleep bloop.
Warzone firefight is just a AI mode in Halo 5 with the name “firefight” slapped on it. I prefer Halo ODST’s or Reach’s firefight rather than Halo 5s BS spammed promethians with aimbot to the max.
