HAven’t we all experienced the “Protect the …” missions where the targets are basically down to 80% health before you get there, and 60 before the area is secure for 3 seconds?
The suggestion is to make the pause (or add some seconds to the round) where the point simply is to get to the location(except for “Kill” missions as they are everywhere). Any thought about this?
Maybe during intermissions, they could tell us what the upcoming round is going to be, to give us some time to prepare and run to the objective
The general point of it is to prevent a lot of protection target health loss. It is really annoying to lose because the attackers surround the target and there is no chance in hell of defending it, or less alone surviving the round

this would be nice
This one game I played, I lost on the first round due to the promethians invading the armory and it is death after death and hard as hell to defend. And running from the core to the armory takes about 15-30 seconds. Starting a game like that is bad luck
Yup, have it show what the round is roughly 10 seconds before the round starts should be more than enough.

10 seconds is a not really enough on some maps. The original map with the beach and forest and the spire needs more time considering that it takes longer than 10 seconds to run(took the time)

The only maps that it would be any kind of problem are is Raid on Apex 7 (the one you described) and Escape from ARC. However if you’re standing around and not heading to roughly the middle of the map or somewhere that isn’t where your last objective is that’s on you. I normally get defend this objective after kill all bosses.

Escape from ARC is also a problem, yes. Especially considering every mission I have played on that map starts with a defend mission. What would help a little is to spawn closer to action in the first round. SOmething else that I have noticed(slightly off topic) is that vehicle spawn location varies. SOmetimes it is very(or too) close to action while other times you have to travel across the map. But that isn’t really an issue.
The real issue is losing because of travel time, where enemies can take down the defending target(armory, garage, generators, promethian relics).
