Warzone Firefight Spawn Locations...A Nightmare.

Once again I have run into another horrible choice of vehicle spawning. I was on Urban on the final round, where two Legendary Wardens and one Mythic were in the base. I went to the garage and spawned in a ONI Scorpion through the REQ station. Instead of spawning me at the garage, it spawned me right behind both Legendary wardens’ camping the vehicle bay of the base, along with a handful of Knights with incineration cannons.

Even with Wheelman mod, my vehicle was destroyed not even several seconds after spawning it in, and I was forced to wait the forty seconds to spawn again.
343 needs to really fix this and allow players to decide a suitable vehicle or spawn location in general. There are too many instances where I have died as I spawned in and had to wait the full length of the timer on the last rounds, due to the game’s poor choice of determining a safe zone to spawn.

Were the Wardens already in the base or was the boss spawn timer still present? I’ve found that sometimes if you don’t wait for the timer to go down all the way; it doesn’t spawn you in the proper spot.

Yeah we should have our choice on where to spawn our vehicles.

They were already there when I went to spawn in a new vehicle. I left a Scorpion to replace it with a better one at the garage when that happened. I have also had it happen at the Fortress on Stormbreak, and the Hunters and Elites are waiting there amd destroy you instantly, even though the bases are open for spawn…

Yes! This is what happened to me, but both Legendary Warden were standing at the vehicle opening as I came through the spawn, along with a handful of knights with cannons and the Mythic variant was above me.

This is just complete B.S.

Wow, that’s even worse

Urban is the worst map for FF

Let us choose where to spawn!

Firefight spawns are the WORST THING EVER!
Regardless of if you are in a vehicle or not!
Spawns SUCK!

Its not just vehicles. Its spawned me in the middle of a giant group of soldiers before
I think all of the spawn pints need to be fixed in general

Yes I’ve had the Promethean problem more times than I can count. Vehicles happen to be more annoying since they’re so expensive.

In round 5, any sort of death costs you. But yeah, losing a vehicle hurts more. Because of things like this, and similar issues in regular warzone with enemies waiting outside the base to steal vehicles have mostly stopped me from spawning in vehicles

Honestly I don’t know why they didn’t match FF’s spawn system to WZ’s. Where you can CHOOSE which base or armory to launch your vehicle or Spartan.

I agree with this statement… Vehicle spawns are terrible in WZFF. What I usually do is strategically call in my Vehicles towards the end of a round or in the middle of the previous round. Eg; I’ll call in my Scorpion on Round 3 rather than Round 4/5 because of the increased risk of being blown up on spawn.

OP! The exact same thing happened to me, except I called in a Hannibal Scorpion. I was so pissed off that I lost it because it spawned me in such a ridiculous place.

They need to fix spawning ASAP; it’s the most annoying thing about the mode and it still hasn’t been addressed.

I had done this, but my Scorpion was near destroyed, so I intended to manifest a new one, since everyone Knows it takes at least 3 to almost complete a match if the bosses are in the base. I don’t see why they didn’t give us the spawning options the normal Warzone features, it would be so much more safe to call in a vehicle or spawn in general, and if there are enemies overtaking a base, simply remove that base from the spawn options until they are defeated, as if a base was captured in normal Warzone. That’s what I’d do.

I have had it happen every single time I play the Urban map. I think Urban triggers this issue more than any map, but it has happened countless times on the other maps. Last time I had this issue was on Darkstar! The two Grunt Mechs instantly killed me as I came through the vehicle bay, even though the Fortress was a place it should’ve spawned me at. I don’t understand the game’s choice of prioritizing spawn locations at all, in a vehicle or not. It has been addressed, but I think 343 doesn’t see it as big of a problem than it truly is.

Hahaha the Scorpion is useful against the Warden eternals for sure when they spawn in base. I’ve been trying a lot of different methods instead of using tanks on those bosses. It’s unique because of how the spawning works… at least for vehicles they require a large bay area to spawn in the first place.

If we had the choice to spawn in Fortress instead of the other base that’d be great too.
